Currently the number of employees working in this organisation are around 1.4 million. The following assignment will make its focus on the purposes of reflection in health and socialcare practises with the help of models of reflection in health and social care practice. The impactof reflection on the personal and professional development of an individual will be drawn. Inaddition to this, the focus will also be made on the Practice Themes which can be used tounderpin reflection in learning and practise, the link between Practice Themes and otherindicators will be drawn along with the plan for reflecting on own learning and developmentusing practice themes and other performance indicators. Lastly the effectiveness of the plan inthe development of own reflective practice skills. LO 1 ROLE OF REFLECTION IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CAREPRACTICESExplainIn health and social care services, reflection play very important for an individual to writeso as to know about the effectiveness of the services provided to the patients (Mangan, Millerand Ward, 2015). As it is known from the patients about the services provided the serviceprovider and the individual also knows about the service provided to the patient whether it wasappropriate or not. So this will help in knowing about the positive and negative points of thehealth and social care service provider and will provide with the needed aspects of improvementin the working. So the purposes of reflection in health and social care which are described asunder:Increase in Experiences: The purpose of reflection in Health and Social Care is to make theindividual to come across to the experiences that are happened earlier. strengths could be made more good. With the help of increased experience, it will be possible forthe individual to provide good quality services to their patients and users.Provide New Ways of Working: Based on the past experiences of the individual, it helps inmaking comparison in between the past and present so that the future could be improved. So themain purpose of this aspect is to make comparison in the past and present and work on findingnew ways of working so as to improve current and future working (Richards and Hallberg,2015).Description of the ExperienceAs the Health Care Practitioner in NHS, I also experienced many things during mycourse of work. So, the following is the reflective piece of my own experience that I came acrossduring the time when I was working as Health Care Practitioner in NHS. The organisation waslarge and there were many people who were working there. In one department there were manypeople who were appointed with different tasks. I was appointed with the duty of childcare as myservices were related to providing health care services to children. The main aim of theseservices was to make people live a healthier life free from diseases. At the time of dealing a childpatient, in starting it was very difficult for me because of inexperience. But later on hesitationwas removed but a feeling of fear always remained in me as it is also possible sometimes theservices may not be effective much and could not satisfy them. But during my whole experience, the main problem or negativity was related to the difference in the situations told by their parentsand the actual situation of the children. The problem told by the parents about their children maynot match with the condition of children which is a conflicting situation in which it is notpossible to judge whether to consider my point of view or the parents. It is very difficult for meto handle these kinds of situations. Sometimes parents agree and sometimes they do not. This creates the situation ofconfusion for me about the way of treatment to be provided to the children. The best part duringthis whole course was the work experience and the environment in which I am working which isvery good and pleasant as they are very helpful and work in a coordinated way. So overall, Ianalysed that as being the health practitioner, it is my duty to consider both the situations of thechild as well as the parents concern also and provide services according to the actual condition ofthe children. For this, I have to work on m communication skills so that it could become possiblefor me to influence them and provide the best possible service to the individuals. In future, if I2
