I am petitioning for Active Federal Service for being at my 14thyear in service. The justification for my summit of an active federal service waiver is not due to the deployments or mission-related circumstances. Instead, it is for professional growth and giving myself opportunities to serve in every leadership positions within the maintenance field. I have served from a wheeled mechanic up to the Brigade Senior Maintenance Manager NCO with each post has taught and given me the confidence to be maintenance leaders. As a senior NCO, I have the privilege to mentor peers and junior soldiers by providing professional grown and to become leaders and experts in their technical and tactical field. With my personal, professional development I have earned my Bachelor degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and now working on my Master degree in Science of Leadership with intent to graduate of August 2021. I now feel that I have genuinely fulfilled my duty as a Non-Commissioned Officer and reached my personal goal. Now, I ought to expand my technical knowledge and experiences into Warrant Officer Corps, where I will continue to make a difference and excel as an Automotive Maintenance warrant Officer. 2.In the past 14 years of my career have genuinely allowed me to grow a tremendous amount in the maintenance field. I have learned what is expected of me as a maintenance leader. I have gained technical knowledge, and I pride myself in providing exceptional maintenance expertise. I want to expand my professional knowledge and increase my opportunity to make a difference in the ever- changing Ordnance Corps. My journey has brought me to this point for petitioning for the Active Federal Service waiver.It is a rewarding opportunity for me applying into the Warrant Office Corps and pursuing as the Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer.
