Introduction
This assignment entails the building and configuration of a Virtual Linux platform. A Kali
Linux will be deployed on the virtual machine created. The virtualization software used in
this assignment is VMware Workstation 14.1.3 Player. A step by step installation guide is
outline below;
Step 1: Downloading a VMware Player and Kali Linux
 VMware Player was downloaded from :
https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/
vmware_workstation_player/14_0
 Kali Linux was downloaded from: https://www.kali.org/downloads/

STEP 2: Install VMware Workstation Player
STEP 3: Create a Linux Virtual Machine on VMware Workstation Player
Start VMware Workstation Player

Create a New Virtual Machine
After opening the VMware Workstation player,
 Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine"
 A pop-up Window will appear where one can select the iso image of the Kali-Linux
to install.
 Click Next; a new pop-up will appear requesting a username and password for the
user account to be created
 Click Next and specify the Name of the Virtual Machine
