Performance Analysis (OPA) Assignment_1
Describe Occupational Module2A Critical ReflectionThis assignment tool was used in evaluating the occupational performance of Mr Craig during one of his visits to a restaurant. The occupational performance analysis done on Mr Craig lays progress Mr Craig has so far recorded and thus providing an in-depth understanding of the conditions and the various skills that since he began the therapy (Baum, p.289). The analysis covers most of the areas that could be perceived to be important and mandatory when it comes toestablishing the various skills owned by an individual during an analysis. Among the skills analyzed, include social interaction skills, process skills, motor skills and adaptation skills and observations made to establish the existence of such skills in him.Social intersection skills were aimed at finding out how effectively and adequately does Mr Craig relate socially with the people around him. From the various observations made, comparison and conclusions are drawn following fisher’s terminologies as applied in occupational performance analysis (Thomas, p.301). Motor skills were geared towards analyzingthe physical mobility and strength of Mr Craig. They aimed at establishing and demonstrating hisability to perform his tasks effectively and the level of assistance that he would require in undertaking the various tasks. This analysis was also aimed at establishing which of the tasks he undertook required him to strain or apply extra strength or energy to accomplish. Process skills aimed at demonstrating his ability to find value in the environment around him and how he interacted with that very environment. The manner in which he interacted with the space around him was an integral aspect of this part of occupational performance analysis. Through this analysis, it was possible to establish what type of environment was most convenientfor Mr Craig to perform his tasks without a lot of challenges and messes. The amount of space he

The aim in this was to establish if Mr Craig had reasons to share his problems with other people. In other words, it was aimed at ascertaining how much of assistance the people around Mr Craig are, whether they help him with his problems or he does not need to share out is problems. Still, on this skill was an analysis of how accommodative Mr Craig was to the views of the people who are around. It answered the question as to whether Mr Craig felt there was need of people being around him. In other skills, an analysis was done to establish howhe relates to other people socially. This analysis demonstrates how much value Mr Craig would find in people around him even if they do not help him directly (Thomas, p. 410).Following the aspects covered by the analysis, it is deducible that the analysis is largely deep enough to offer enough information to the Therapist and the Service User on how to handle Mr Craig (Fisher, p.188). The analysis covers a great percentage of what could be expected from the analysis. The information extracted from the occupational performance analysis and the report on Mr Craig is extensive enough to provide the Therapist with the green light on where to move to next. It can thus be relied upon as accurate information about the client on his occupational performance. Most of the information was collected through observing what Mr Craig did across the various places he moved through. This provided first-hand information hence improving the reliability of the information provided.
