INTRODUCTIONIn this competitive era, it has become hard to get desired level of job. It requires someskills and knowledge that assist a person to work as per the needs of corporates. However,personal and professional development is crucial for an individual to initiate successful career. Itassists a person to develop himself in a desired direction. Park Plaza hotel has considered gettingbetter knowledge of the concerned subject. On the basis of present study, I want to pursue mycareer in retail industry. The purpose of report is to describe the impact of self managed learningin forming career. Report is about to describe a PPD plan considering various activities. TASK 1ASelf-managed learning helps in broadening the professional competencies of anindividual. This process assist in managing own way of learning of a person. As a result, thepersonality and knowledge is enhanced with the help of this process. It assists in setting goalsand objectives by analysing the learning purpose and formulating plans (Cassidy, 2009). Inaddition to this, different approaches can be used for imparting knowledge by an individual.They are stated below.Seminar and Conferences: it is considered as an effective way of imparting knowledgeby an employee. It offers opportunity to present knowledge, ideas and facts in front of largenumber of people. It excels the confidence level of a person to express ideas effectively. It resultsinto development of transferable skills and presentation skills that can be useful for anorganization.Internet: This is the easiest and fastest mode of getting information. It covers all theaspects of information where ample of data and facts are available related to concerned subject.There are several sites are available through which variety of data on a single topic is accessible.With the help of internet, one can expand one's knowledge and ideas that can assist others too.Social networks: Social network includes Facebook, twitter, g mail and blogs. There arewide range of social networks are available to get informations. Blogs are there where usersupdate information, with the consideration of this information the level of knowledge can beimproved (Hughes and Youngson, 2009).
