“Power Generation from speed Breaker”
INTRODUCTION
Electricity has been identified as the backbone of the economic prosperity in nearly all parts of
the world. Electricity as a form of energy allow for conversion of raw materials into the finished
products. Apparently, it is obtained from other sources like wind, H.E.P, solar among others.
These sources however have never been enough to meet the demands which have been on the
rise. In order to meet this demand, several innovations have been brought forth by scholars. This
particular paper presents one of the innovative ways of generating electricity or power from the
speed breakers which are located at specific points on the roads (Singh et al.2013).
CUSTOMER NEEDS
Simple and efficient means of power production.
Tapping of energy from speed breakers
Supplement of other sources of electricity production like H.E.P, wind power among
others
Addressing the issues of frequent blackout through provision of relatively reliable power
production mechanisms
Optimization of the use of speed breakers other than enhancing safety.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
The other systems of power generation are affected by weather patterns (Das, Hossain &
Hossan 2013).
The other systems of energy generation cannot be used for small scale production.

Large amount of capital is required for the start of other systems of power generation.
Speed breakers are underutilized in terms of economic production and rely idle other than
regulating the speed of the vehicles
