Introduction
The idea of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality list is to create the
theory of mental types explained by C. G. Jung comprehensible and helpful in people's lives
(Kim & Han, 2014). The spirit of the hypothesis is that a great deal apparently chance difference
in the actions is in fact fairly arranged and reliable, being owing to essential difference in the
way persons prefers to employ their insight and decision. Social Style Theory is a most important
behavioral style model which has shown that public is one of the four social styles, every with
their own favored method of acting, philosophy and decision making.
Discussion
My Compatibility type
As an ISTJ (Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging), I am quiet and kept and only
involved in safety and peaceful living. I have a powerfully felt interior sense of responsibility
which gives a serious atmosphere and the inspiration to pursue through on responsibilities
Organized and systematic in my approach, I tend to usually do well at every task which I take on.
ISTJ’s tend to be very trustworthy, faithful, and reliable. They put huge significance on sincerity
and honesty (Brandt & Laiho, 2013). They can be depended on to do the correct thing for their
families. Whilst they normally take things extremely critically, they as well more often than not
have an unusual sense of wit and can be a lot of enjoyable particularly at family or work-related
meeting. They tend to consider in laws and traditions, and also anticipate the same from others.
They are against breaking of laws or against the rules.

Comparison with Other Personality Types
My strengths lie in honoring my commitments, taking relationships roles very seriously,
can take constructive criticism very well, extremely good listener, tolerate disagreement
situations without emotional touch and able to converse what is on the mind of others with
accuracy. However, they have the tendency to believe that they are always right, have the
tendency to always get involved in competition with others and win-lose conversations, not in
melody with what others feel or say, their value for arrangement may seem unbending to others
and not probable to give sufficient admire or affirmation to their appreciated ones. They tend to
have lack of interest in other people and tendency of selfishness and tend to judge others usually
than themselves. I am working on my drawbacks by being more involved in social gathering and
communicating with others without judging them and trying to understand their position and
feelings.
My Social Style
My social style is driver that is people with a driving style appear to be familiar with
what they want and they tend to want it at the hit of the moment. A
driver is certain of his or her goals and is annoyed and impatient with wait in attainment of those
goals (Okike & Amoo, 2014). Drivers come out to ignore the past and the future; they desire to
focus simply on the present. They are inclined to articulate their opinions and ending
determinedly and directly. Drivers act in response quickly to problems or obstruction by using
control. Drivers consider that if they have to manage the circumstances, they can rapidly reach
their objectives. Some people tend to feel that drivers show little consideration for individual
relationships and sight the actions of drivers as high-pressured, freezing and cruel. They can be

professed as violent and hardhearted, particularly by amiable, although are often desirable to get
risks and thrust things through.
Comparison with Other Social Styles
When compared to others, Drivers tend to be decisive in action and decision making,
likes organizing, dislikes functioning, prefers utmost liberty to administer self and others, self-
governing, and competitive with others, short acceptance for feelings, approach, and
recommendation of others and works rapidly and remarkably alone. They tend to seeks respect
and self-actualization (Jung & Shim, 2014). I am trying to work on my drawbacks by being in
control and assertive and firm and by listening carefully to others to come to a solution without
being aggressive or abrupt in taking decisions.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be stated from the above paper that when working on communicating, it
is needed to find ways to attach with others. Thus, it is essential to work to bridge the differences
in personality and identify the strengths and weaknesses while communicating to others and
changing those drawbacks to opportunities so that no obstacle come in the way of
communication.
