What is Design Mindset?
Framework for design mindset
Design mindset refers to the techniques used
by designers to resolve multifaceted problems
and find thrilling solutions for end users
(Gassmann, & Reepmeyer, 2008).
Design mindset is not challenge-oriented but
rather an action and solution-focused towards
creating a desired future. It draws a
chronology, intuition, logic, imagination,
And systemic reasoning to look for
possibilities that can be of benefit to the
client .
Design mindset provides a structured
model for comprehending and pursuing
innovation in ways which add value to
the end user. This framework involves a
process in which viable ideas can be created
and user-focused solutions can prevail. This
process takes after the Creative Problem
Solving Process (CPSP) which emphasizes on
certain characteristics like robust client
orientation as well as working with prototypes.
This process involves 5 steps: Empathy, Define,
Ideate, Prototype, And Test (Liedtka, 2015).
