The paper is focused in the elaboration of the practice of design and the design
methodology. Along with this, the paper identifies three skills that the creative designers
acquire in their professional career. Apart from that, the paper discusses the design of the
Hyperloop high speed transportation system between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Definition of the practice of design:
The practice of the design is considered to be practice of the procedures, equipment,
tools and techniques for the purpose of designing (Emmitt 2014). Many renowned
researchers of the design practice commented that the practice of the design from various
designers include some basic similarities which is their attempt of influencing the public with
their creation. In the 20th century, the ancient form of the design practice is seen to change
into more modern versions where the design practices are converted into modern form of the
problem solving.
Design Work Methodology:
The design work methodology is a decorated study of the methods in design. The
methodology includes study of the principles, the study of the practices and the study of the
procedures employed for the purpose of the design. The design methodology comprises of
various steps. However the old version of the methodology included the steps like the
recognition of the problem or the need of the new design and the formation of the solution.
However the modern version of the design is observed to include the steps such as the
analytical phase, creative and the executive phase (Marczyk, DeMatteo and Festinger 2017).
The analytical phase is concerned with the programming, data collection or analysis. On the
other hand, the creative phase is concerned with the synthesis development. The focus during
the executive phase is on the communication and implementation.

Three skills of the creative designers:
In modern business context, a small number of creative designers are able to establish
themselves and main reason behind that is the achievement of the skills of creativity, problem
solving skills and the communication. The skills of creativity enable the designers to
effectively plan and introduce new designs in favour of their company. On the other hand, the
effective communication triggers the smooth implementation of the plans of the designers
which help them to reduce the complexity of the design implementation. The problem solving
skills are significantly essential for the modern designers in order to increase the
effectiveness of their designs in the society (Brown and Chandrasekaran 2014).
Three points on which a creative designer director wishes to progress:
The three points on which a creative designer wishes to progress are the logical
thinking ability, the improvement in the technological aspect and in the proper identification
of the need of the new design.
One recent designer project and the importance of it:
The hyperloop high speed transportation system between Abu Dhabi and Dubai can
be considered as one recent designer project in United Arab Emirates that has great
significance for the country. The high speed transportation system is expected to connect the
two main cities, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The implementation of the technology of pushing air-
cushioned pods at high speed through the semi vacuumed tube in this project is considered to
be of the potential of changing the way of living of the people of this region (Phys.org. 2019).
