Assignment | Evolutionary Prototyping For Prototype Development_2
IntroductionThe software design company has been established. The local DMV is on the look to design the system that will help the receptionists to check the customers quickly. Moreover, the system will be able to self-check-in during the busy times. The next few sections have been developed considering the prototype development of this software. The prototyping technique has been suggested along with the management plan for the project. In the end, the comparison has been done between the self-check-in interface and the receptionist’s interface. The graphical representations of the prototype have been shown. Suggested Prototyping TechniqueThe evolutionary prototyping has been suggested for the prototype development. The purpose of the evolutionary prototyping is that robust prototype is developed in this. There are numerous interrelations that take place in this form of development and quest towards constant refinement is considered (Carter et al, 2001). The continuous improvement stays under constant radar of the project team and the various associated stakeholders. The requirements that are not well understood by the project team utilize this method effectively. As the project is user based, therefore changes in the requirements (that couldn’t be conceived initially) can be expected as the project progresses. Management PlanThe suitable management plan has been developed that will be used to develop the software prototype. The project schedule has been developed using the MS Project tool. There are various activities that have been mentioned in the project list that will be conducted as per the duration defined for them. Project Purpose and ScopeThe purpose of the project is to develop prototype software that will be used by the receptionist in managing the customer check-in. There will be two interfaces under consideration during developing the software. Mentioned below are the two interfaces and the features that are to be included in them.Receptionist’s Interface: -Ability to see customers’ historical record-Enter customer check-in data-Enter customer check-out data-Card information and swipe-Help the customer locate available area
