INTRODUCTION
This report is all about designing the robotic waiters through advanced technology and
software. The following discussions is based on designing the waiter which is actually a machine
but can perform human functions, it mainly consist the researches, diagrams, flowcharts,
security, privacy and requirements in designing the robot waiter. The robot which is taken in this
report is named as Doraemon because it is name of one of the cartoon series which describes the
robotic cat who can do anything by it's gadgets and serve people in helping them. Similarly,
Doraemon waiter's functions will be like this only, he will serve the customers at it's best with
full satisfaction with the help of it's software installed and functions assigned to it. Expected
results of a report is to design a waiter by specific technical configuration and maintenance with
cost-effective process (Development of a Robotic Waiter System, 2020).
MAIN BODY
Secondary Research:
Robot is a machine that is computed programmable, they are capable of doing functions
like human does automatically. It's software defines that either the robot is guided by external
sources or instructions are embedded within them only. Working of robot is, it consist movable
feature, motors, sensors, power supply and brain like a computer, all these elements controls a
robot. They have both kinds of behaviour, human as well as animal. There are challenges faced
to in designing and maintenance of robot such as efficiency in power resources, manufacturing,
mapping of an environment, privacy and ethics, reliability in artificial intelligence and multi-
functionality (Csorvási, Nagy and Vajk, 2017).
Functionality:
Connection between robot's MCU (Multipoint control unit) and kitchen's MCU need to
be generated to send information.
Robot must navigate the path on it's own.
Robot must sense the customer who is entering the door or ordering something.
It should have a smiling face and greetings to the customers.
It must track customers about their activities.
It should have an ability to serve with a good gesture and security.
It must have an advance IT systems and ethics to work in the restaurant.
