CE 3.3 Distinctive Activity CE 3.3.1 Comprehending the Theory of Project Within the project of Designing of G+5 Residential Buildings, I had to use the various theoretical concepts for structural building designing. In the starting of the project, I had noted all the designing parameters for beams, slabs, columns, and even the other structural elements. I also understood that the advantages of framed structure such as thinner panels, construction speed as well as higher resistance to the vibrations would be quite important for the work. The major parts of these framed structures were tied beams, roof slabs and columns. To perform the analysis or designing of the G+5 residential building, I evaluated combinations as well as loads. As per the restricted state of the reinforced concrete structures and pre-stressed concrete structures, I had undertaken some of the loading combinations such as 1.5 (Dead Load + Live Load) and 1.2 (Dead Load + Live Load +Ex) and many more. I also had taken the respective live load of 2 KN/m2 according to the analysis or designing for getting done for my residential building. I also noted that there were absolutely no need to give Dead Load within the software of Etabs software. I also provided wall load of 12.42 KN/m2 for 9 inches and for the inner walls, it was 6.21 KN/m2. The concrete grade for the slabs, columns and beams were M20 as well as the size of column were of 230 mm X 450 mm each one and that of the beam size was 230 mm X 300 mm. I also analysed as well as designed this residential structure by the software of Etabs.

CE 3.3.4 Identified issues and their solutions 3.3.4.1 Issues The major technical difficulty, which I have encountered here was during discovery of a well at the site in the phase of excavation or foundation. I found out it was already previously casted in the specific areas. This foundation cannot be laid by lack of casting the pile within the well. The next technical difficulty that I had confronted here was during assigning respective live loads. I had not assigned live load for the floor finishing as well as involved the dead loads and hence my project results were wrong. 3.3.4.2 Solutions

I also subdivided the complete works properly and individual task was eventually and perfectly executed. Moreover, I gave weekly reports to my project supervisor and monthly presentations to the head of the department of my university. CE 3.4 Project Review CE 3.4.1 Project Overview I made the structural designing of a G+5 storied building by considering few software like StaadPro, Etabs and Safe.
