INTRODUCTION Class discussion allows to develop and establish a supportive environment for students in order to learn and adopt knowledge, skill and behaviour. Class room discussion is not controlled by any single individual presentation rather the teacher should walk in a fine line between monitoring the group and letting its member speak. Class discussion allows class member work activity with various innovative ideas and the concepts being pursued. Moreover, discussion session can be extremely effective in overall changing behaviour or attitudes. Class discussion helps in problem solving and develop critical thinking skills. It enables to articulate a position or an informed opinion. This is reflective report which covers the some topics that was discussed in the classes. This report focuses about the different styles and means of communication that was used in the discussion. It also covers about the subject specific study skills along with the academic sources that is appropriate. This report covers a brief about various topics that includes analysis swot, Kolb's learning cycle, paragraph, job's faire, building presentation skills, library and plagiarism. Week 1:Analysis Swot SWOT analysis stands for strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. Swot analysis is one of the famous strategic planning that helps in evaluating the specifying the main objective of the business. As a business student I have learned about importance of SWOT analysis in business and this will help me to identify the internal and external factors of any business that will be favourable or unfavourable(Hill and O'Brien, 2004)In the discussion I have learned how to adopt and implement SWOT analysis on various situations. This method helps me to identify my own strength and weakness as well. Moreover, I gained some detailed knowledge about SWOT analysis which is considered as non-financial planning tool and helps in identification of internal and external business environment in a matrix format. Strength and weakness mainly coversaboutthemarketshare,loyalcustomers,productqualityandlevelofcustomer satisfaction. Opportunities mainly covers about the potential areas for the businesses in the upcoming future that includes new markets and new conditions. Threats covers about the how newtechnology,competitionandotherbusinessenvironment.Inordertoconveythe information about SWOT analysis power point presentations along with charts were used during the discussion. 1
Week2: Kolb's learning cycle Kolb's learning cycle was discussed in week 2 which mainly covers the basic principles of learning. As a business student I learned about the basic principle of reinforcement that includes continuous and repetitive practices that ensures about the retention of knowledge and skills. It also allows me to learn about the principle of feedback that tells about the importance of timely and adequate feedback that helps to motivate trainee. It allows to study well about principle of behaviour models that involves some set of models for the trainees to follow. I have learned about the four stage cycle that includes concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualizations and active experimentation. Through concrete experience I have learned that in this stage individual learn by experiencing (Hughes, 2017).Individual learn things from other people and by value discussion along with feedback. From stage two that is reflective observers I have learned that individual learn by reflecting. In this stage individual learn through lectures and objectives tests.The third stage of Kobl's learning cycle is abstract conceptualizes from which I learned that individual learn from their own study time by creating ideas that are well structured . From last stage ofKobl's learning cycle that is active experiments I have learned that an individual learn through their own work practices and they do not afraid from taking risks in order to learn new things. This cycle allows me learn and adopt various learning styles. Week 3 : Definition -characteristics and academic learning Academic learning mainly concern about the cornerstone of the further higher education. Academic learning covers boarder scope which mainly involves the motivation that is crucial for the learning, main target that is covered for learning along with the overall expectation of the trainer or lecture. I have mainly learned about specific goal that is important for motivating any individual to attain goal and objectives within limited time frame(Concannon-Gibney, 2018)This will help me as well while working in the organisation to motive those employees who will work under me. The main characterises of academic learning is that it helps in managing the tasks operations along with various risk and ambiguity. It helps me to learn about the task valuesthat mainly involves with attainment value, intrinsic value, utility value etc.I 2

The topic sentence generally considered as the first sentence of a paragraph and it is very general one(Rivers,2018).The supporting sentence mainly used for developing, explaining and supportingthe main idea of any paragraph. It consist of facts, examples and details. At last concluding sentence are added that are usually added at the last sentence of the paragraph. It is used to finish the paragraph. Through this discussion I have learn to enhance my writing skills as business student . For this discussion various examples of topic sentence, supporting sentences and concluding sentence was displayed through power point presentations and charts. In order to write any paragraph I have to keep three things in my mind that includes content, structure and form. Week 5: Job's faire Job fair is generally referred as a career fair in which employer, students ad recruiters takes part in order to gain job opportunities as well as employer and recruiters are able offer jobs to the competent person. The details of job fair help me to prepare myself for the attending job fair. It helps me to identify my interest by finding out about a particular career field. I allows to seek for several career opportunities and focus on those questions that is frequently asked during the interview process (Jolles, 2017).This session also allows me to know about the employer expectations from the candidate appearing in the interview process. It help me to prepare myself for interview by giving information about the dress professionally, prepare resume and how to communicate while attending any interview. 3
Week 6:-Building presentation skills. Presentations is a well structured, prepared and speech based means of communication that helps is delivering information, ideas to a large group of interested people . With the help of attending building presentation skills I am able to properly structure my presentations and overcome nervousness. I am able to develop powerful body language and deliver effective presentation without any hindrance. This session has guided me well to learn those things that should not be performed during the presentation. Through building presentation skills I am able to design and use visual aids effectively. In order to prepare presentation effectively it is important to follow some crucial steps that includes planning, preparation and delivery. I have learned how to design my message and organise my material properly to deliver effective presentation(Tsang, 2017). Week 7: Library Library is considered as a collection of various sources of information along with similar resources and made accessible to adefined community for borrowing and references. A library's collection includes books which are hand written or printed work of non-fiction or fiction. By attending the library session I am able to gain knowledge of various sources of information along with statistical data. This session allow me to access important books that will directly or indirectly help me access the study materials that is required . The library helps lifelong to develop the learning skills and develop the imagination. Library includes both the information resources as well as tools to access the details about any specific topic. It mainly consist of magazines, newspapers and books. There are some resources like paid journals which is not able to access easily through library. Week8: Plagiarism Plagiarism is the generally referred as a act of presenting the words, ideas, images or any creative expression of other as their own. Plagiarism is considered as theft of intellectual property . By attending this session I am able to learn about the citation when I am translating or paraphrasing something. In case I am adding or writing some specific topic in my own words still I need to add some source as that material could be someone else' idea and requires 4
acknowledgement.Through plagiarism session I am able to learn and frame proper sentence structure that should be of my own and not the same as in the source. I am able to learn that while adding any exact words I have to add quotation marks around them. 5
