This is defined as standard that aids to provide the all detailed information that how to
achieve the required standards that worked with health and safety system (Ali and et.al.,
2017). An inspector can refer to code of practice at the time of issuing improvement and
prohibition notice. Under the Work health and safety act places the primary health and safety
duty on person conducting the business or undertaking of the business activities that helps to
accomplish the organisational goals.
Lastly, this can be stated that codes of practices are defined as practical guides to
accomplishing standards of health, safety and welfare under the work health and safety. To
have the legal impact and justification model on the code of practice must be approved as a
code of practice in this jurisdiction.
Local government requirements
Local authorities are defined as system of the locally elected member that represents
the community in making the decision on their behalf. It is the authority that work closely in
relation to the organisations, public bodies, businesses and citizen etc. This defined as that
country has the crucial powers and responsibility within the administration of particular
geographical area (Altman and Cochrane, 2005). Henceforth, the local government provide
support as to provide police protection, education, highway building and health care facilities
etc. Thus, the legal authorities plays the crucial role to streamline the sustainable activities
and to bring better advancement to the enterprise.

Sustainable continuous improvement can be defined as to creation of system that aids
to identify the opportunity to develop the organization and also enables individuals at all the
level of organization to improve the processes and system, they are involved in (Assembly,
2015). Therefore, sustainable continuous improvement needs engagement at all level as well
as robust management system that address the long term, incremental of the culture-based
change. This provides integrative route to business transformation and also define how this
system can assist to build sustainable advancement. Thus, sustainable performance brings
long term competitive advancement within the enterprise. Sustainability bring better and
effective performance within the enterprise.
Additionally, continuous improvement cycle is defined as plan of action that is mainly
designed to enhance business profits at time when its put into action. This is one of the
effective term that helps to bring out the effective performance within the enterprise.
Henceforth, the continuous improvement within the business aids to manage the things
effectively (Hoekstra, 2014.). In addition to this, this can be stated that sustainable
construction improvement is defined as system that identified the opportunities to develop the

the possible consequences of neglecting to consult with stakeholders?
Stakeholders are defined as customers, shareholders, employees and communities
with vested interest within firm strategies and development plan. There are number of the
individuals are affected by company sustainability efforts and those largely affect society as a
whole and at global environment (Nicolescu, 2018). Additionally, stakeholders are
individuals and enterprise whose attitude and action has huge impact on the success of the
enterprise. Hence, stakeholder engagement plays the crucial role to bring better advancement
within the enterprise. This can be effective in order to accomplish the organizational goals.
Thus, preservation of the healthy environment and ecology balance is everyone’s concerns
that aids to promote the good and better working within the enterprise (Kahriman-Ozturk,
Olgan and Guler, 2012). Thus, stakeholder plays the crucial role in order to accomplish the
success within the enterprise.
Henceforth, the stakeholder engagement is defined as term in which an organization
involves individuals who may be affected by decision of the enterprise and these activities
can influence the implementation of business activities. Thus, effective stakeholder
engagement aids to accomplish the organizational goals (Kahriman-Ozturk, Olgan and Guler,
2012). This enforces sustainability on their entity to reduce the cost, energy and other
environment factors. Additionally, sustainability principles and techniques must have positive
impact on enterprise that are already doing to assist community and environment (Lee, 2018.

In addition to it, corporate guidance on stakeholders' engagement is defined as
strategy that begins with instruction identify the stakeholders and then group them in the
categories to ensure purposeful interaction. The one of the beneficial aspects of integrating
stakeholder management within internal functioning of the enterprise aids to mobilize local
knowledge and also very effective to identify the opportunities for innovation and
improvements. Thus, consequence can be seen as that without involvement of stakeholders
the operational functions of the enterprise can get affected in negative aspect, this leads to
decease the profitability and productivity of the enterprise.

SWOT can be termed out as strength, weakness, opportunities and threats etc. This is
defined as framework that works as to identifying and analysing the internal and external
components that have wide impact on the viability of project, product, place or person

(Marsal-Llacuna, 2019). This is defined as framework to evaluate firms’ competitive position
and develop strategic plan and this also has huge impact on the success of business activities.
It is powerful tool that aids to conduct business activities systematically. This is one of the
effective tools that aids to identify the both internal and external working of the enterprise.
SWOT is termed out as the comprehensive audit and competitive analysis that aids to
know about the both internal and external functioning of the enterprise. It is one of the critical
factor that aids to know about the organization planning process. This analysis is defined as
planning process that assist firm to overcome the challenges and to determine what things
need to be done to take corrective action (Stuart, Willocks and Browning, 2019). Thus,
primary aim of SWOT analysis is to develop the full awareness of the factor that aids to take
proper decision. Therefore, this might be applied to sustainable policies as are-
Formulation of strategic policies for taking advancement of business opportunities
that requires to acknowledging both strength and weakness and this aids to accomplish goals
that based on what entity has identified as opportunities. It is strategic planning methodology
that assist the enterprise to meet the goals, improve operational functions and keep the
business activities (Mushi, 2019). With help of identifying the strength and weakness in the
enterprise, the entity can able to run its business operation in better and effective manner.
This can lead to enhance the working of the enterprise in positive aspect. With help of
applying SWOT the sustainable policies towards the firm can be accomplished and all things
can be done in effective and efficient mode. This can be beneficial to bring competitive
advancement within the enterprise.
Question 5: What if organisation do not have sustainable policies inclusive of community
organisation. Outlines the steps that aids to develop sustainable policy.
If organisation do not have sustainable policy then firm cannot able to run its
operation for longer period. In order to earn long term prosperity within the enterprise and to
maximise the opportunities or to reduce the negative impacts in the working of the enterprise
the needs to build sustainable advancement (Hoekstra, 2014). It is one of the effective terms
that strive to bring improvement in environmental health and quality of life of individual.
This is one of the effective terms that is crucial for all the companies, across the all industries.
Steps that aids to develop sustainable policy-
Developing an effective management framework for sustainable development needs to
address the both decisions making and governance (Assembly, 2015). Therefore, the concept
of sustainable development is to integrate both business planning into control system and

management information. Additionally, the governance is crucial for the growing
accountability of the corporation and for their senior management. In addition to this, the
concept of sustainable development needs to be incorporated within the policies and process
of the business. Hence, sustainability is crucial function to run the business activities
effectively and efficiently. Decision making at the all levels must be responsive to issue that
is arising from sustainable development.
Lastly, it can be stated that the sustainability needs to adapt to the maturity of the
enterprise and firm willingness to treat sustainability as one of the strategic opportunities
within the enterprise (Altman and Cochrane, 2005). Thus, seven steps are defined for
managing the enterprise as per the sustainable development principles. Henceforth, these are
defined in following manner as are-

 To build an environment that promote supportive corporate culture.

Question 6: Responsibilities for an initiative targeted at reducing water use within the
organization.
By analysing the three options available I decided to install rainwater harvesting tanks
because it will help in storing rain water. Also, the rain water can be conserved with through
it. The water will be supplied to toilets. However, in rain water tanks water can be used for
many other things as well. This is best option because here water wastage can be reduced to a
great extent. However, in both two-options water consumption will not be reduced at large
level. Besides it, replacing water taps is not solution for this. The dual flush system may not
work properly. It uses same quantity of water (Ali and et.al., 2017). If low flow taps are used
it might consume less water but if used all day the result will be same. Apart from it, in many
organisations’ rainwater tanks are used for various purposes. It has enabled in reducing water
use. Thus, for toilet use water will be sufficient.
In report of implementing rain water tank i will include many things. First of all rain
water harvesting system should be implemented that will enable in minimising water
wastage. Here, water can be conversed for long time and used in future. Alongside it, another
recommendation can be given is using sustainable sources of energy. Moreover, by executing

strategy of reusing and recycling water. This means water can be reused in other things. I can
suggest management should develop policy as well and apply it in other areas as well. It
means they can use solar system to generate electricity. So, in this way also sustainability can
be maintained. The leakage or taps must be repaired from time to time to reduce water waste.
Some policies relate to sustainability must be formed and implemented. It will benefit in
reducing water usage.
Question 7: Responsible for initiatives to improve the amount of paper, glass and plastic that
recycled by the enterprise.
a) the first action that i will take is to find out reasons that why this amount of waste is not be
recycled (Bass, 2007). Then, on basis of it I will develop strategies. However, I will find who
is responsible for collecting waste. Also, how much time it takes to recycle general waste and
what problems or issues occurred during it. Then, i will take develop a systematic plan on
basis of which waste has to be recycled. Furthermore, i will ensure that audit i been monthly
and report is prepared. Also, i will find out some alternatives that can be used in critical
situation. In addition, I will separate all three things and for each one different plan and
strategy is developed. By taking this action I will be able to achieve goals and objectives.
b) it is necessary to communicate actions that are to be taken so that goals and objectives are
attained. For this I will call a meeting and in that discuss plans and strategies that will be
taken in critical situations. Also, I will take feedbacks from managers who are engaged in
recycling waste to analyse results and measure it with standards. I will ensure that report is
developed each month so that accordingly action is taken. The plans are required as it will
help in giving insight of what is to be done and how.
Question 8: Recording and reporting system that an important part of implementing
sustainability policy.
Sustainable policy is defined as mission that thriving to improve the environmental
health and quality of life of individuals. This is related to reducing the waste, minimising the
consumption and protecting the natural habits of customers. Over the past decades, the
sustainability has become the most buzz word. It is defined as key pillar in the corporate
strategy. Additionally, sustainability reporting enables the enterprise to consider the wide
range of impact over the enterprise. This is the report that gives the path to define about the
sustainable advancement within the enterprise.
Therefore, sustainability report published by the firm and this relates with economic,

environmental and social impact that caused by everyday activities. Therefore, this is defined
as key platform that allows to communicate sustainability performance within the enterprise.
Therefore, sustainability also plays crucial role in terms to minimising the energy and waste
cost and this aids to attract and motivate employees towards the enterprise. Thus, execution
of sustainability is one of the crucial term that draw up a plan for the management system
enhances that are required in terms to accomplish sustainable development.

Stakeholders management can be defined as lifeblood of the effective project
relationship. Thus, main purpose is to effectively and efficiently communicate the status of
the project reporting that helps guards against the unexpected surprise to project sponsors and
other stakeholders. Thus, the stakeholder must be informed about the final outcomes and
whole process as thy plays their roles as to being most crucial assets to the enterprise.
Therefore, description has been given on the basis of three stages as are-
Identify your stakeholders & champion- The careful analysis is needs to be conducted that
allows to detect and avoid potential misunderstandings and opposition. Thus, champions are
defined as project team to ensure about the vision that translated successfully.
Make stakeholder priory map- The main maim is to investigate allies and potential
opposition to contribute towards each stakeholder group. Effective strategies aids to build the
better relationship, conflicts and priorities that assist or imped on project. With the help of
making stakeholder priority the all things can be done effectively and efficiently.
Develop strategy for collaboration and communication with stakeholders- This is
inclusive if the conducting the cost benefit analysis that aids to determine about which
resource needs to engaged with and how much time to spend on that engagement. It is one of
the effective term that aids to create the consistency and communication every day.
Developing the communication framework aids to accomplish the group goals of the
enterprise.

a) A policy is required that states what methods or procedures are followed for doing
particular activity or task. It prescribes the way in which things are done. Similarly, in library
a policy statement is required to reduce energy consumption. It is described as below: -
Introduction –

the library aims to reduce their energy use in order to improve their efficiency of
lighting system. This initiative is taken to maintain sustainability. For this the light will be
replaced by energy saving lights. The area covered under this will be office and community.
This will be done through a systematic procedure that is a sensitive lighting system will be
installed in storage and archive areas. The maintenance staff will replace it. Also, permission
of council electrician is taken to install sensitive lighting system.
Goals – the main goal is to reduced overall electricity cost up to 10%. Also, to improve
lighting system and reducing energy use.
b) The initiative taken by library is good but it requires huge cost to replace light and install
sensitive lighting system. But there is another initiate that can be taken by them. For
reducing it, solar panels can be used for generating electricity. This will be useful in reducing
energy as well. Along with it, LED bulbs can be used instead of global lights. They saves
energy to a great extent. In this there is no huge expenditure is required. In addition, energy
monitoring systems can be implemented as well. It will support in taking reading of energy
and reducing its use. On basis of it excessive use of energy can be consumed.

e) The whole process needs to be monitored with help of conducting the gap analysis between
planned and actual performance. Thus,, feedback can be conducted with aims to evaluate the
performance of the employees within the enterprise. In order to monitor the energy reduction
target the enterprise can have the use of key performance indication that aids to streamline
business functions effectively and efficiently. With help of monitoring the corrective action
can be taken and things can get improved.
