INTRODUCTION
Developing cross-cultural capability is considered as a process that includes methods
dedicated towards evolving competence of cross-cultural that results in using features of own
culture, implement positive attitude to another cultural group that is helpful in enhancing
capability in order to understand it in an appropriate manner. In this report, there is a discussion
regarding shoes manufacturing company named as Deichman which is located in Northampton.
In this report, there is a discussion regarding how organisation expands their business in China,
Vietnam as well as Ethiopia. Therefore, there is an explanation regarding various issues related
to HR department such as legal, purchasing, logistics which is managed by another department.
And there is also a discussion regarding cross culture that focuses of production to another
country. Therefore, they adopt Hofstede cultural theory that is mentioned in this report
(Alshaibani and Bakir, 2017).
MAIN BODY
There are various functional areas of organisation that is handled by HR department in order
to analyse issues and opportunities linked with chosen shoes manufacturing company while
expanding their business in china, Vietnam and Ethiopia. It is necessary for chosen company to
assess these issues as well as opportunities for conducting their business in an appropriate
manner. Thus, HR plays an important role in order to handle this department in proper way.
Therefore, there are various functional area of organisation related to HR department that is
considered by selected company is going to be mentioned below:
Legal: in this phase, for expanding business in different countries, it is necessary for chosen
shoes company to have a knowledge regarding law in order to conduct different operations in an
appropriate manner. Therefore, shoes manufacturing company focuses on law that must be
followed in order to expand or explore their business in new markets. Thus, for exploring
business in China, Vietnam as well as Ethiopia, the HR Manager focuses on follow laws for
smooth operation of company during particular phase of time period. It is helpful in increasing
brand image and reputation of company in front of user at marketplace. Thus, the organisation
follow laws for conducting various tasks in proper manner that aids assistance in smooth running
in different countries in which they want to expand and it is also helpful in achieving goal and
objective in timely manner (Betts, Super and North, 2018).
