INTRODUCTION
Cross cultural capabilities means to engage the people of
different culture in the organisation effectively and
understand them in better manner. TESCO is a multinational
company which deals in grocery and general items. The
company is headquartered in England and became the third
largest retailer of the world in terms of gross revenue. As the
company is operating in several countries they need to take
care of development of cross culture capabilities among the
employees of the organisation. According to this report the
company is planning to open its stores globally and the
management needs to face various challenges regarding that.

CHALLENGES ASSOCIATED WITH CULTURE
SHOCK
Cultural shock refers to the anxiety and depression caused in
an individual due to losing familiar culture and environment
when living in a foreign country. When companies decide to
expand their business and open subsidiaries in different
countries in order to expand business globally, company
needs to send some of their skilled and experienced
employees to that location. The management transfer those
employees to expand the business of the organisation. The
management faces challenges of cultural shock in those
employees of the organisation.
