Concrete experience
This is the first stage of the learning cycle, that means the Employees of Unilever need to
focus on their experiences to what they have done in their past and what they have learned in
their past like in their schools , or college, previous work experiences. Experimenting on new
concepts will give the employees more experience about their job. Unilever provides on job

can learn from that experience and what leanings are useful for the employees of the Unilever to
increase their efficiency stage two is based on stage one and the experiences which the
employees learned will also affect its learning in second stage. As every employee will come up
with different outcomes because of their own experiences.(Duffield and Whitty, 2015)
Abstract conceptualization
After analyzing the outcome from the second stage, the employees are now self sufficient
to innovate with their own ideas with the existing policies of Unilever . As the employees have
learned from their own experiences and the better an employee's have experienced any work the
better he can perform on his own and that too very efficiently. This stage also enables the
employee to make the strategies on their own.(French and Rees, 2016)
Active experimentation
This is last and final stage in this stage the employees test their knowledge to what they
have learned by implementing them in the company and seeing that is that effective or not. The
company always encourage their employees to come up with innovative ideas that also give the
employees motivation to learn and become more informative to reach that level as Unilever also
appreciates their employees in form of rewards and incentives(Gillard and et.al., 2015).
As continuous training and development of the employees of Unilever is very essential as
they are the top leading company in the world and they need to grow and maintain their company
and that can only be done when their employees are efficient in performing their task effectively,
as there are many factors which can effect the profitability of the company and competitors are
also a big challenge.

high performance helps the company to achieve efficiency and high profitability and the revenue
generated can further invest it in research and development to create a new product and increase
the customers of the company this will also help the company to grow faster and this will also
