Leadership and management play a very important part in every organisation and it helps
and enables managers to achieve their respective goals. There are many different styles of
leadership that have been formulated for this purpose and helps in smooth functioning of a
organisation. The present report is based on developing a detail understanding of the
contemporary practises that are associated with the practises of leadership and management
taking place in various organisations. Both the leaders and managers play a very crucial role in
making the whole workforce in performing the functions according to key requirements for
achievement of the final objectives that have been laid down in the course of business Tseng and
Wu, 2014).
The reports is basically divided in three major sections the firsts section is discussing
about the meaning of leadership & management and the different perspectives, associated roles
and responsibilities of managers and leaders. In the second section there are comparison of
leaders that is made of those who are part of “2019 great Leaders list” that consist of the top 10
leaders (Jauhari, Singh, and Kumar, 2017). . There is a detail assessment of these leaders. Further
different theoretical approaches are being used in this discussion. Lastly in the third section there
is a critical comparison that is made of the skills and behaviour of these successful leaders and
two areas are developed for proposing how to implement and make its evaluation in a more
effective manner in the present changing scenario of organisations.
