Introduction
In the following assignment, management and leadership skills are discussed with the
help of relevant models. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part explains how an
individual can develop personal managing and leadership skills with the help of relevant
leadership models. Further in the analysis of the first part it also includes personal management
plan. The second part explains how transferable skills like empowerment, conflict management,
motivation, supportive communication, and team effectiveness can be applied in an organization
with the help of relevant theories. The objective of the paper is to help the individual identify the
personal skills that can be utilised for the developing and managing personal skills as well as also
indicates how an organisation can gain benefit after the implication of the transferable skills.
Personal management and leadership skills
Personal management is organising oneself for the forthcoming, retaining your current
and paying attention in what to do. It also helps in earning wisdom for how to perform well for
the upcoming challenge. Personal management and leadership skills is certainly vital to develop
as an individual, personally as well as in the workplace. Management and leadership skills plays
a vital role in an individual’s life because they help in maximizing the efficiency and help in
achieving personal as well as personal goals.
The models that helped me in identifying my personal management and leadership skills
are discussed below.
The authentic leadership model helped me in reflecting my experiences in
understanding the morals and values. This showed me the direction of trust and loyalty because
to be an authentic leader in personal as well as professional life these two factors are considered

of utmost importance. Because to be an authentic leader one must be conscious about the ethics
they possess, and struggle to reflect those ethics while speaking, performance, and leading.
Therefore, remaining factual towards the morals will help me gain truthfulness and authenticity.
This will also enhance my reliability and will make me responsible in the eyes people as well as
the organization where I work.
I believe in group dynamics because collaboration in decision making brings many
benefits for oneself. The shared leadership model helps in performing in a group rather
individual. By following this model, will help foster a stronger collaboration and cooperative
spirit in myself and therefore it will boost of motivation for working well personally as well as
professionally (Darsø, 2016).
The Laissez-Faire leadership model encourages any individual to show creativeness
and cooperation skills. Therefore, implementing the model in my personal life will help me in
innovation and thinking high level of creativity which will enhance my effort towards
development.
I possess leadership skills that can guide people to carry the task smoothly. Therefore, in
enhancing this skill, the use of transactional model will be beneficial for me. This model helps
the individual in developing and practising managerial skills. This will develop communication
skills and also help me develop a strong emotional quotient to proceed in my career (Hughes, C.,
2018).
One of the leadership quality that I possess is task-oriented. The model that can be
beneficial for me in polishing and practising the skill is autocratic leadership model.

Implementing the model, will help me in accomplishing the task within the time frame. This will
also help me manage and monitor my performance.
The use charismatic leadership model, inspires me to be energetic and team-oriented as
well. Therefore, I can say that this model has motivated me to be energetic towards my goals and
also boost my confidence level. Through this model, I discovered many skills in myself like
listening skills, compassion, my body language, self-monitoring, and self-improvement.
I honourably seek others options while making decisions and try to efficiently delegate
any work. The model that reflects this skill is democratic model which can help me in further
developing my skills. This will increase my productivity level professionally and personally will
help me in finding prompt solutions to difficult problems.
The other leadership style that I possess is being courageous while dealing with some
critical situations. Therefore, implementing the bureaucratic model of leadership will help me in
analysing difficult situations.
Personal development plan
Personal development plan is a framework that guide an individual for continuous growth
in personal as well as professional life. It helps in setting goals, values, planning of the career
and education, relationship and even self-improvement.
In the following personal development plan, I have listed my career path and
development plan which includes an action plan for its fulfilment in the future.
This includes vital critical assessment of my own improvement requirements and my
personal goals, which will help me in understanding my transferrable abilities and how these can
