INTRODUCTIONHuman resource management is important for development of skills in people (HumanResource Management Functions, 2018). Business follows this process to enhance qualities ofindividuals. HR manager organises the selection process. They match the skills of individualswith vacant position in organisation. To communicate ideas and instructions, managers shouldhave strong communication skills. Many employees come from different backgrounds. Thisincreases the chances of conflicts in between staff. Managers take necessary actions to resolvetheir disputes. Further, report will discuss about skills that make me an effective manager whichis including the reflection of improving skills of a manager.What is human resource management?Human resource management plays the major role in growth and development ofindividuals. This concept is very common in the current business world. This helps intransforming the capabilities of individual. Managers of human resource management must havevarious skills in order to perform their work effectively. Human resource manager look afterneeds and requirements of people. The fundamental role of HR is to organise interview forcandidates. Mangers analyse skills and capabilities of individuals (Billett, 2014). They matchskills of employees with job description. Effective selection of staff helps in increasingprofitability and productivity of organisation (Brueller, Carmeli and Markman, 2018). Humanresource manager should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. It is basic skillsthat help mangers to communicate ideas and information to other employees. In order tocommunicate effectively with superiors and subordinates, managers must have strongcommunication skills. Good interpersonal skills help in motivating employees to accomplishgoals of organisation. Basic job of Human resource manager is to interact with various people.Managers organise various meetings for employees which help in resolving conflicts betweenemployees. People express their feelings and opinions in meeting (Frost and Reynolds, 2014).All these process require endless interaction with people. Corporate business world require great manipulation skills. In meetings and seminars,managers deliver speeches, it is important to use correct language and jargon with office. Theymust assure that other people should not feel offended.
