Academic writing is a focused, clear and concise and structured way of writing. The main
purpose of academic writing is to aid reader’s understanding. In the present portfolio, I will cover the
project workshop activities I have attend in order to develop and enhance my social and ethical
awareness as well as responsibility (Zhang and Zhang, 2021). The report will also cover the value and
importance of the 10 documents which I have attached in the appendix section of the report. This
main purpose of this report is to identify my weakness and strongest skills which further help me in
selecting my career field such as marketing.
Academic writing is a focused, clear and concise and structured way of writing. The main
purpose of academic writing is to aid reader’s understanding. In the present portfolio, I will cover the
project workshop activities I have attend in order to develop and enhance my social and ethical
awareness as well as responsibility (Zhang and Zhang, 2021). The report will also cover the value and
importance of the 10 documents which I have attached in the appendix section of the report. This
main purpose of this report is to identify my weakness and strongest skills which further help me in
selecting my career field such as marketing.
How and why have the project workshop activities developed your
social and ethical awareness and responsibility? (500 words)
I have attended a project workshop activity which is conducted at my college. In this
workshop activities, I have learned about the personal SWOT analysis, time management
development, how to frame personal development plan etc. This activity has helped me a lot in
developing and enhancing my social and ethical awareness as well as responsibilities. With the help
of the personal SWOT analysis, I have identified my strongest and weakest skills. Further with the
help of personal development plan, I have learned that I can develop and improve the skills in myself
which are weakest in me. By taking part in this workshop activities, I am able to collaborate and
interact with group which has further enhanced awareness, understanding and appreciation of
connection among people. For example, with the help of my personal SWOT analysis, I have found
out that I am not responsible towards the environment as I throw garbage on the roads as well as
streets. After analyzing my weakest point, I have decided to take part in the local community’s
program such as waste removal from sea or road. This has developed social and environmental
awareness in me. Not only that, I have also analyzed that previously I do not talk with the people
belongs to other religion and caste as well as whose skin color is black (Numan Khazaal, 2019). But
after attending this project workshop activity such as group discussion etc. my social awareness has
enhanced. Now I treat each individual with respect and dignity despite of being affected by my
previous mindset.
The project workshop activities have also enhanced my communication and social thinking
skills. I have also attended the workshop activities such as gap analysis, presentation etc. In the
presentation activity or task, I have learned about the difference between the good and bad practices.
For example, helping my mother in kitchen is a good practice but on the other hand spreading rumors
about anyone is a bad practice which should be avoid by me. Basically, these activities have helped
me to make difference between right and wrong decision so that I am able to save myself and other
from any harm. I have also attended activities in which I have learned about preparation of CV and
notes on reflection. With the help of writing notes on my own experience and knowledge have helped
me to understand my own interest area (Boyle, Ramsay and Struan, 2019). The impact of which I am
able to decide that my interest area or field is marketing. I want to became marketing manager in
future and want to start my career in marketing field is an example of social and ethical
responsibility. I have learned about how to prepare and create formal and professional CV with the
social and ethical awareness and responsibility? (500 words)
