INTRODUCTION
Career development refers to a continuous or lifelong procedure in order to manage their
work, learning, leisure as well as transitions for moving toward an effective, personally
determined & progressive preferred future. For every individual person it is very essential to
develop their career in an attractive manner so they can easily grab opportunities in an effective
manner. In the present report, a personal career plan is going to be formulated with the aim of
developing career in a positive way which leads towards the growth and success of a person at
competitive environment. Along with this, it includes how digital or social media will help in
promoting skills and knowledge which aid in developing career in a positive way.
Main Body
Career plan define as a systematic and practical strategy which helps an individual to
identify their interests and skills which set the goals and take effective actions at the right time so
that the goals and objectives will be accomplished in a timely manner. This process is mainly
developed by every person on a regular basis so that they can attain their future goals and grab
opportunities in near future. As per the current scenario, a customer assistant manager is working
from last 3 years in a cinema where the main role is to check tickets and showing people their
seats. It requires lot of skills and knowledge to perform the job role in an effective manner.
There are some skills which needs to be required by a customer assistant manager in cinema
which includes patience level, communication skill, time management, attentive.
In the present competitive environment, it has also been said that use of social and digital
media platform increases which provide opportunities to promote personal brand in an effective
manner. By adopting different sort of social media tools and platforms an individual can easily
showcase their skills and knowledge which aid them in grabbing attention of different
organizations and provide them opportunity to work with the organization.
SMART goals: In order to grab opportunities available at the competitive environment it is very
essential for each and every person to develop their SMART goals so they can systematically
attain their desired targets within specific time period. Below mentioned are some SMART goals
related to the present scenario of a cinema Customer assistant manager. These SMART
objectives need to be attained within limited period of time so that opportunities will be grab in
near future.

 To improve my skills related to research within 6 moths by conducting various sort of
research and investigation related to my job profile.
 To learn different languages which will add value to my profession and create
opportunities for me in near future.
 Another objective is to learn use of social media and digital platforms in order to promote
my skills and knowledge for which various seminars and conferences will be attended by
me.
 Improve my knowledge about mass communication and analyze various opportunities
which aid me in grabbing opportunities in near future. By using social media and digital
platforms I can improve my knowledge and understanding.
By preparing a career development plan, these goals can be achieved in an effective manner
for which various sort of practices needs to be conducted by the person. It is also said that by
using different social media platform and digital media, knowledge and understanding will be
improved by customer assistant manager in an effective manner. It has been concluded that
social media play very essential role in the growth and development of a person with the help of
which they can easily improve their knowledge and skills related to different topics.
Career development plan
It is defined as a personalized strategy that helps an individual in achieving their future
career goals and attain success as well. It is determine that career development includes both the
long term as well as short term goals associated with future opportunities and job as well. It is
important for a person to develop a career plan as it help in analysing what are the skills is
required in future in order to attain objectives and grab the opportunities in future.
I am working as a customer assistant in cinema from last 3 years. By performing the
activities of my job, I analysed that I have the ability to gain higher growth and development in
this sector. In addition to this, it is identified by me that entertainment sector gain higher growth
and making career in this sector will help me to achieve success in future. I have the knowledge
of two languages that is Arabic and English that help me to communicate with the customers and
solve their issues in an effective manner. It is analysed by me that I require to learn more about
different skills as it help me to gain personal development and professional development as well.

For this, I am preparing a career development plan that involves shot term as well as long
term goals. In addition to this, while preparing it I gain knowledge about my skills an on what
areas I require to work in order to achieve career goals. The career development plan is given

assistance of tis, I interact with people and conveyance them to
consume services of the cinema in which I am working.
 In addition to this, it is analysed by me that I have capability to
handle customers and their queries that helped in my personal
development and growth of cinema also.

How to achieve In order to achieve the objectives and develop future skills for making
career in this sector
 Social media will help me to conduct research on different
topics as there are lot of webpages is available on different
applications that is easy to access and understand. By the
assistance of different applications, I gain knowledge about the
present trends of cinema and also it will help me to improve my
research skills.
 Due to digitalization, the online classes is provided to students
and people in order to learn more about different languages. It
will help me to learn about other language and at the same time I
can perform my job as it can be access at any place or location.
 There are various job opportunities is available by the social
media applications such as LinkedIn, Indeed and many more.

Conclusion
It has been identified that in order to grab opportunities available at the competitive
environment it is very essential for a person to develop career development plan. This is a
systematic approach used by individuals so that they can improve their learning and skills related
to their job which leads towards the attainment of opportunities in an effective manner. Along
with this, it has also been identified that for improving as well as promoting skills and
knowledge in a positive way social media plays very important role as they create platform to
increase knowledge.
