Executive Summary Development of strategic manager is a most important task in a business. It helps the company inbetter achievement of its set objectives and smooth growth. Strategic objective shows the varioussteps and strategies that can be followed by the company in order to better achieve the setobjectives of the firm. There are various competencies which need to be develop by themanagers in order to become more effective leader. Strategic manager need to form strategy foreither provide training to existing employees for providing services to customers or recruit newemployees for this purpose. Evaluation of Leadership skills and determination of futurerequirement helps the company for its rapid growth. Development of strategic leadership skillsof the managers results in the development and innovation of more effective strategies for thebusiness. It directly effects the growth of the business. Strategic manager of Vodacom Tanzanianeed to develop, more effective strategies for the company so that company's objective toincrease its positioning in the competitive market could be achieved in recent future. Byanalysing the reason behind the variance is lack of availability of resources and inefficientstrategies of the managers. Staff welfare directly effects the performance of overall business andachievement of organisational goals as well. By completing all the commitment for theemployees, managers can enhance the moral of all the members along with development of selfmotivation as to gain maximum up gradation in their salary.

INTRODUCTIONDevelopment of strategic manager is important as it leads in converts strategic plans intoaction in an organisation in order to development of effective strategies for business andachieving the organisational objectives more efficiently. Vodacom Tanzania limited is a mediumscale public company which has its business of selling telecom product and hosted services to itscustomers. The present report includes a circuital evaluation of vision and strategic objectives ofVodacom along with a brief evaluation of managerial and leadership competencies that arerequired to achieve organisational objectives and a relationship between skill of managersrelating to existing, required and future skills. The study also includes environmentalopportunities for the managers to develop leadership skills and analysis of leadership skills of themanager along with the future requirements in order to provide them training accordingly. It alsoincludes the importance of leadership skills development for achieving strategic objectives ofcompany.
