Motivation is important process of company that helps in influencing individual to make
the best use of their existing capabilities and skills so that enterprise can retained its market
share. In another words, motivation can be defined as reason that motivate person to do specific
task in particular manners so that more outcome can be enjoyed by company. Moreover, it can be
stated that motivation is important process that helps in increasing overall performance and
productivity of individual. There are many more benefits that are enjoyed by company by
motivating diverse range of people to make the best use of their existing skills and capabilities.
Thereby company is able to delivered more value products or services to customers in limited
time frame and cost. This report has covered literature review on one of the crucial topic of
recent trends that is motivation at work that yield in growth and expansion of business. Thus, the
aim of report is to gathered relevant information related to motivation at workplace that lead in
providing maximum benefits to company.
2. LITERATURE REVIEW
Literature review is use of information taken from scholarly sources pertaining to specific
topic by making use of books and journals, articles etc. So, it can be stated that it is research of
scholarly paper that contained knowledge related to current finding. Therefore, literature review
related to motivation in work provided by different well- known author can be illustrated as
follows:
As noted by Hanimayani, Wiyarni and Deccasari (2019), motivation is process undertaken
by manager of company in order to inspired individual to react in particular manner for
achievement of end objectives. It inspired individual to act in perform desired task in specific
manner so that enterprise can enjoy high profitability and market share. So, as per the author is
the act of getting thing through other individuals by making use of different techniques for
benefits of organisation.
From the view points of Green Jr and et.al., (2017), there are two type of motivation
within company such as extrinsic and intrinsic motivation that inspired individual to take
particular steps so that organization can retained its market share. Extrinsic motivation is reward
driven behaviour like reward, praise and financial increment are some of the method that
influences individual to give their best so that company can delivered maximum value to

customer's. So, extrinsic are external method that are used by manager to motivate people to
enhance their overall performance and productivity. Furthermore, Intrinsic motivation, is a
desired that internally motivate or pursued an individual to undertake specific task of company
so that it can earn more revenue. Likewise social environment or belongingness of individual to
company culture, mission, visions or the way it operate internally motivate people to work
effectively. Further author also illustrate that individual is motivated to complete specific task
because it is enjoying or highly satisfied with the work. So, manager by focusing on
psychological needs like safety, financial needs is able to make employee’s happy and satisfied.
As illustrated by Yurchuk (2020), there are various reason which illustrate the importance
of motivation for organisation likewise it contributes in improving overall performance level of
individuals. Motivated employee’s have willingness and ability to make optimum use of their
existing skills and capabilities so that company can retained its market share. Another benefits or
importance of motivation at work is that it reduce resistance of people to adapt to external
changes. Thus, manager of company can easily motivate or inspired individual to accept various
changes so that needs of customer's can be fulfilled in their best possible manner.
Moreover, the another author named as Emmerich and Rigotti (2017), also states that
motivation at workplace is necessary as it lead in reducing employee’s turnover and absenteeism.
As more and more individual are motivated to come in the organisation in order to have fun and

From the above report it can be concluded that motivation in workplace is crucial as it helps
employees to stay motivated to work by making the best use of their capabilities. There are
various techniques and method that are used by manager of company to influencing or increasing
performance of individuals. So, overall it helps in building strong relationship among various
individual that are working in the company for different purposes. Furthermore, it can be
illustrated that in future circumstances research can be also conducted on the way motivation
contribute in growth and success of organisation. So that manager can make use of them in order
to retain maximum number of individual in firm for achievement of last goals. It can also be
