1. Introduction
ES or enterprise systems are large scale application software packages, which support
business process, data analytics, reporting and flow of information. When such systems are
packaged with enterprise application software system, organizational requirements are
fulfilled in an effective manner (Bi, Da Xu & Wang, 2014). Such systems also provide higher
levels of data security and transactional performances. The following report outlines a brief
discussion on an industry tailored software solutions company, Lawson. Five software
solutions of cloud suite health care, global human resource, sales and operations planning,
talent management and customer experience suite, which Lawson offer their customers would
be described here.
2. Discussion
2.1 Cloud Suite Health Care
The first and the foremost software solution that is being provided by Lawson to their
customers is cloud suite health care software (Infor.com. 2019). Infor cloud suite has been
implemented by few popular health care organizations like Concordia Plan Services for better
market penetration. They have selected this particular software solution for reaping the
savings from efficiency of the Infor cloud powered by several cloud computing operations by
AWS or Amazon Web Services. The health care companies require flexible and scalable cost
models as well as tools, which provide respective decision makers with actionable and
relevant cost information (Giachetti, 2016). All of these areas in health care organizations are
eventually looking at certain methods for delivering value added care to obtain the best
patient results.
Concordia Plan Services has anticipated subsequent savings of 1 million dollars by
moving to the cloud. For efficiently growing as well as managing the number of employees,

they are serving, Concordia Plan Services has eventually set out for implementing a formal
solution to better management of customer relationship and completion of successful
business development (Dorantes et al., 2013). They have moved to Infor Cloud powered by
Amazon Web Services from a better managed service arrangement. The operational
efficiency and size as well as economies of scale are being achieved before passing on the
value. As a result, they are able to include innovative strategies and are able to analyse the
situation efficiently (Panetto et al., 2016). Moreover, the annual operating expenses are
reduced to a high level by moving to SaaS or software as a service arrangement with Xerox.
The main advantages of cloud suite health care are as follows:
i) Reduction in Customizations: There is almost 30% reduction in customizations of
Infor solutions and Infor Value Engineering. Thus, customization risks are reduced majorly
and appropriate software could be selected without any complexity. Functionality of the new
systems is enhanced.
ii) On Premise Deployment: This is the next advantage of Infor cloud suite
healthcare. Hence, on premise deployment is possible with this software (Wang et al., 2013).
iii) Cost Effective: This software solution avoids labour costs in a company for hiring
two or three additional employees for managing the technology infrastructure.
The operational platform of this software solution encompasses a comprehensive suite
of business solutions that are unique to healthcare like supply chain, asset management and
planning. The real time interfaces within modules and invoice KPIs are considered in this
cloud suite platform (Appelbaum et al., 2017). Moreover, reporting of business intelligence
and embedded analytics is also possible for Infor cloud software solution.
