Development of Information System for Globoforce

This paper reflects on the development of a new information system for improving communication within an organization named “Globoforce”. The scope of the project includes providing chat support system facilities for the employees, tracking the portal option of the employees, development of portal option for the employees, development of entire option, undertaking testing of the project and completion of project within 63 days. SMART objectives, governance, project schedule, project budget, WBS, Gantt chart, project risks and risk mitigation are also discussed.

Background of the project
• The paper mainly reflects on the development of a new information system for improving
communication within an organization named “Globoforce”.
• The employees face a lot of challenges in communicating with the clients due to absence of
proper information system.
• In order to resolve this issue, the organization wants to develop a Chat support system so that
the employees can contact the client whenever they need

The scope of the project includes:

that the employees can easily chat with the clients
whenever necessary for getting help.
• Measurable: The project will be successfully
executed within the time-period of 63 days.

Governance
• Project governance is defined as the management
framework within which project related decisions can
be made.
• In this specific project, good governance is mainly
demanded by the stakeholders as well as regulators.
• The main benefits of good governance mainly include
proper optimisation of investment, avoiding the
reasons of failure as well as motivation of different
staffs with the help of proper communication method.
