Brief history about project and its importance
Sky News is one of the leading news channel which highlights top stories 24 hours.
Company is aiming to enhance its productivity and for that news department is planning to
implement mobile application (Xu and et.al, 2014). This mobile application can sup[port in
making effective communication with staff members and making them understand with their
responsibilities. Effective coordination is the first priority for new channels, they have to
circulate current news to population so it is essential that for cited firm that to improve its
interaction with its employees so that Sky News can broadcast the latest news on its channel.
Sky News discover facts and circulate these information. It is essential for authorities that
to remove communication gap so that workflow can be improved. The main purpose of
introducing this mobile application project for minimizing communication gap and improving
the workflow so that main objective of entity can be accomplished (Van Damme and et.al, 2015).
The major issue faced by reporters that they were unable to upload news on time, if they have
support of mobile application then they can be able to upload current news on their new channel.
This will help in broadcasting recent news on the televisions. This could be a great tool because
within short period company can improve its production (Wei and et.al, 2014).
Business drivers are those elements which play significant role in success and growth of
the organization. The business drivers for mobile application project of Sky Channel are as
following:

 Incremental service revenues
 managed services
 Software
 Application development
 Operational cost saving.
All these are considered as essential part of business, without these factors company can
not grow well. The main reason to introduce this project in the workpalce is to is to improve
workflow and enhance productivity of staff members. With the help of this mobile application
reporters can shoot the latest news and can upload it on site on time and they can move to collect
other news (Lang and Irving, 2014). This will help in broadcasting the latest information on the

channel. This mobile application can assist in minimizing communication gap and people can
get quick response from their supervisors. Prototype can support in uploading recent videos on
this mobile application so reporters can get necessary information quickly. Thus, introduction or
implementation of mobile application in the Sky News channel can be beneficial for the
organization, it can help management to track their reporters location and coordinating with them
effectively (Thorson and et.al, 2015). This way assist in improving productivity of the
organization to great extent.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Sky News channel is international channel which broadcast latests news. Increasing
number of employees is the main issue in the organization. It is very difficult for the managers
that to coordinate with reporters those who are in different locations. That is the main cause that
increases communication gap between staff members and increase chances of errors (Nemiroski
and et.al, 2014).
Sky News channel is aiming to improve its communication with staff members and
enhance their production capacity So that entity can become leading news channel and can
operate its business internationally. Project is planning to address its issues related to
communication and production in the workplace. Earlier Sky News has faced issue where its
reporter was in other location and due to serve problem individual was unable to communicate
with its management about news on time (Kubitza and et.al, 2013). At that time when others
news channels have broadcast the news then company has highlighted this issue on its channel. It
has affected its brand image to great extent and customers have make their perception that this
news channels do not provide the latest information to audience.
