Self development is the process of improving oneself with the help of various methods. It
is the conscious pursuit of personal growth by increasing the personal skills, talents and
knowledge. The most essential component of personal growth is personal development by
individual in order to seek more talent and skills by self and also enhance their own growth
potential. Self development is the life long process in which student can assess abilities to set
their targeted goals. The goal of the self development is to satisfied by their own action and it is
the contentious process for all age group of people. Self development encompasses both personal
and interpersonal skills which includes problem solving, time management and stress
management. These all skills helps student to enhance their self capabilities which are beneficial
for their professional life style (Alvarenga and et. al., 2019). Self development begins with the
self awareness which includes analysing their own capabilities and tendency to start self
discovery. Additionally, this essay cover the theories strategies and approaches to leading the
team, different tools and techniques for assessing skills and capabilities. Lastly it also includes
the reflection of own core values, and application and theories for achieving more skills.

to adopting the leadership style (Makadok, Burton and Barney, 2018). These theories helps in

knowledge. This leadership theory increases the team productivity and morale, This leadership

these style can evaluate individual to become talented leader to manage their team in appropriate

make the better relationship with the team members to communicate and hare all the relevant
information so that they can focus and achieve the targeted goals (Zwikael, Chih and Meredith,
2018).
There are various approaches which can helps in managing the team and also enhancing
the self capabilities and tendency of the individual which can helps in achieving the success. The
approaches helps in adopting and learning leadership style.
This approach indicates the personal characteristics of individual leader and improves
the personal efficiency of the people. This approach helps in identifying the capabilities by which

I have learned various skills and knowledge to enhance my productivity, With help of
strategies, approaches and theories I leaned more skills which are beneficial for my future
professional. Communication vision is the more essential strategy which I have learnt from the
the various theories and strategies. Leadership style are more useful for managing the team
members in s effective manner. The ethic and values based leadership promoted by providing
best knowledge, skills and also monitoring the performance level (Cheong and et. al., 2019). I
have learn the ethic as a leader to respect all all employee's and give a equality opportunity to
participate in all activities which can increases the tendency and moral values of individual. My
core values as a leader in future is to communicate in a proper demeanor with all my team
members so that they can response in a effective manner. The ethical and core values makes a
good leadership style by which organization gets good reputation in the market due to the good
leadership style (Hiromoto, 2019). The core values of becoming good leader includes empower
and development of team members which helps in developing more skills and knowledges.
Becoming a good leader I have learn and adopting various approaches and strategies in which I
can analysing my strength and weakness. I have acquired the trait approaches which helps me in
analysing the personal characteristic and also motivate my to develop more new skills (Behl and
Dutta, 2019). From my academic skills I have learn about communication skills and leadership
skills which provides me relevant skills for increasing my capabilities and productivity so that I
can become a good leader.
There are various tools and techniques I have used to become a good leader which
includes motivation, development, communication and discipline. These techniques are more
essential for developing and improving my skills and knowledge. I have analysed that a good
leader is responsible for the maintaining the all activities of the employee's. These techniques
are helpful for me to learn a good leadership style. With the help of tools I have learn to stay
positive because positive environment can helps in encountering the team members and also
appreciate them for their success. The communication and motivation tool is more useful the
team leaders because self development process is a life long process by which I can learn and
developed my self on regular basis (Zuo and et. al., 2018). Self development is a process of
developing and acquiring the skills according to the trend and also learn to engage team members

in a proper member. Motivation is an effective tools which I have learned from the tools and
techniques promoting the employees to work in collaborative way so that they can increases their
skills by sharing the information with each other. Tools and techniques are more effective tool
for balancing my skills and also prepared myself to become a good leader. I have also learnt
from the seminar and lectures to gain additional knowledge which can give me more benefit in
my future (Hadley and McGrath, 2021).
During my academic session I have adopted many new skills which encourages my confidence
and knowledges. I have learned about the ethical and core values which are more most important
for my professional. These skills can promoted the self capabilities because self development is
the continuous learning process in which individual people can learn about the different
leadership style. Leadership strategy helps in increasing the productivity of the individual person
because students in their academic session learn prepare themselves for their professional
session. Communication skills helps in updating the individual to make good relationship with
the team members. I have acquired the trait approaches which is more beneficial for my personal
and professional development. These are more supportive and essential for my future
development (Fong and et. al., 2018). I can balance my skills with experience to motivate my
team members so that can they can perform their task in a appropriate manner and achieve the
success. Communication tools encourages individual to learn more new skills and team members
are also stay motivated and has ability to learn different leadership style. I have and adopted
various theories, traits and approaches to become a effective leader, and these skills are more
helpful in my professional development.
