to death of an individual immediately. However, female genital mutilation (FGM) is determined in some areas of United
Kingdom which is done by untrained people due to non-medical thoughts of few communities in which clitoridectomy is
carried out with girls under 14 years of age with help of blade or razor.
There are various ways through which information related to health and social care reaches with public domain such as TV,
mass media and newspaper. With the help of this, company are providing and deliver relevant information which are
associated with health to the patients in better manner. As per the case, government develop appropriate policies which
reduces these type of activities that is performed in the United Kingdom. With the use of different methods, they can create
awareness among people through TV, social media and so more.
The issues of FGM is very dangerous which may cause severe injuries to genital tract and it is really painful for a girl.
Meanwhile, this activity is also responsible for creating certain crucial complications during sexual intercourse and
childbirth. At the other hand, it has been analysed that this activity of FGM is done because of religious thought of people
but it is really dangerous and deadly from which only females get suffered fir their life time.
Additionally, the information gathering facilitate to know about this severe issues which provide support to make strategies
to remove this problem in an appropriate manner. It involves the criteria of making desired plan to save females from
critical issues of FGM which results into decreasing death of females and make sure to provide them secure future.
Legislation - Furthermore, it is required to make strict laws including Prohibition of Female Circumcision Act 1985, Female
Genital Mutilation Act 2003 and Prohibition of Female Genital Mutilation (Scotland) Act 2005 against this activity which
not appropriate for humanity give instructions to legal departments for taking strong actions to those individuals who
motivate the same in society.
Quality of services – This involves to provide better quality of medical services to females suffering from FGM in equal
manner so that further complications can be reduced. Moreover, government agencies are required to prevent such
dangerous events effectively in every community with religion of FGM to save females.
The health promotion activities are required to be carried in local area where such communities are surviving who believes
in FGM. It involves to conduct campaigns, events or other related activities for convincing people to avoid FGM and reduce
its negative impacts on health of females as well as development of society (Jones, 2013). Moreover, it involves to make an
appropriate activity to motivate citizens of these communities so that they will avoid such events and encourage their next
generation for the same which facilitate remove this threat of FGM form society. Additionally, government authorities or
health organizations can utilize relevant posters, pamphlets, banners, advertisements on television, internet or newspapers to
reduce the problems of FGM.
Political factor – This involves about government rules and regulations which are mandatory for every citizen to follow
them appropriately. It is required to government to make strict legislation to prevent problem of FGM in females by
considering it a legal offense. However, people will follow legal rules and avoid to conduct FGM which facilitate to save
lives of girls properly.
Advantage – It is helpful to prevent severe issue of FGM from society along with saving lives of females.
Disadvantage – Strict government rules may create social violence by specific communities having religion of FGM due to
their strong beliefs for the same.
Environmental factor – This refers to establish an educational and broad minded environment of local or regional areas so
that severe problems like FGM can be reduced. It is necessary to provide desired information about complications and
harmful effects on lives of girls through educating them which results into removing threat of FGM from society.
Advantage – It will provide support to make people aware about severity of FGM which facilitate to reduce such events
from society.
Disadvantage – It may create objections from communities believe in FGM as religion which results into major problem of
desired authorities.
