1.1 Explain how political, social and economic constructs can be used to categorise society
Political, economic and social factors have a great influence on the society to shape it. According
to many types of research it is noticed that these factors are playing a great role in the context of
developing the structure of society by categorising the people in it. Depending on that, the
factors are deeply introduced in the paper to understand its effects and role in reshaping the
structure of society (Aukrust, 2006). The discussion as below:
Politics:
UK government has a great influence on the structuration of UK society. From previous
researches, it is clearly noticed that reforming the constitutional background of United Kingdom
has made a great impact on the UK society. The changing laws and regulations prove the
changes in the societal context. There are several situations where the laws and regulations of
UK have changed, and the impact has been directed on the lives of UK people. In this way, the
lifestyles and the economic situations have been changed in many ways. Depending on that fact,
it is clearly focused on the different behaviour of ruling parties and the opposition parties. The
UK depends on the British Parliamentary System. Thus, all the decisions are taken by the crown,
and the impact has been generated by the work process and even on the education system. Thus,
the politics have a great impact on the society and its changes (Aukrust, 2006).
Social:
The United Kingdom is one of the most developed countries among all in the world. Thus, the
lifestyle is very improved and different from any other countries. The working culture, the ethics

and the lifestyles are influencing the globalised countries. However, it is crucial for the country
to understand how they are adopting the changes in the globalisation. The sense of styles and the
sense of ethical practices are influencing the third world countries like Bangladesh, Nepal and so
on. As a category of United Kingdom's society, they have adopted the globalisation and has
changed its shape according to the flow. There are much difference among people in the same
country. Many are believing in the religion, and many of them are believing on the globalisation.
In this way, the social appearance of these people is very much different. Thus, it is a very
important factor for the United Kingdom's society to make diverse community among them. The
country is full of diverse culture which is a result of different religion. There are laws for the
cultural diversity which are maintaining the equality among the people from different religion
and culture.
Economic structure:
The economic symbol of the country is Euro. With the comparison with other currency, the
currency is valuing more than any other (Aukrust, 2006). Thus, the country has developed a
strong economy. However, in the case of economic diversity, it is as same as other countries like;
the United Kingdome has people who are not so poor and also they also exist who are very rich.
In this way, the economic structure is influencing the society's life style. However, the
government has failed to support the economic equality among the UK people. Thus, the
economy is as same as other countries though they have a great and strong economic position in
the world.
From the above discussion, it is noticed that the economic, political and social factors are playing
a great role in the reforming or shaping the United Kingdome's society. Thus, the impact of these

aspects has dedicated great changes in the UK people's life. The government is very crucial in
case of reforming the structure of the society (Descola and Gísli Pálsson, 2002) .
1.2 discuss the cultural values and beliefs in society
Different cultures have their different values and beliefs in the society. Depending on that, the
society becomes very much influenced by the change processes. The UK is one of the most
diverse cultural places in the world. Almost every cultural communities are there which are
making a great impact on the society. As an example, United Kingdom has great numbers of
Bengali and Sikh community. The have their different cultural beliefs which are making a great
impact on the society (Descola and Gísli Pálsson, 2002) . The religion factors are the most
common factors which are leading the United Kingdom's society. With the diverse community,
the country becomes much exposed to the world, and they are making changes according to the
cultural changes, as like, there are many holidays for a different culture and the government is
approving the holidays to make a diverse community. In this way, the working practices and
institutional changes may come. The direct effect of the cultural values is shaping the people's
life. In this way, the lifestyle becomes mixed with the diverse culture, and they are creating their
perspectives for different cultural values. According to researchers it is proved that the religion
values are making a great sense in the community (Descola and Gísli Pálsson, 2002) . The
religion activities can influence a society where some people believes on their perspectives, and
other beliefs on their other perspectives. Thus, it is important for the government to undertake a
proper systematic approach to maintaining the culture in the society. Acceptability of different
cultural activities is very much important to create a sense of diversity. The growing population
can affect the workability of people. More population can decrease the job vacancies. The
