Conversation with ill patients
The title of the article is Conversation with ill patients which are written by
SAGE open Medicine (Challenging conversations with terminally ill patients
and their loved ones: Strategies to improve giving information in palliative
care, (2014). The aim of the study was to explore the skills and strategies
employed by professionals when having difficult conversations to provide
information to loved ones as part of palliative care. The group of population
is above 18. The method of research used here is qualitative to find the data
accurately and within less rime. The article of challenging conversation with
the ill patients and their loved ones has shown that there are many phases in
life that needs to be discussed with each other. During the time of any
Federal diseases or death causes the patient and their love ones must be
remain in touch and within a discussion of positive factors to maintain trust
(Coyle N)). Therefore the discussion must be effective and ethical in order to
maintain a decent way of messaging. It has unlike from the article that there
are many ways to convey a message to the patient and their families. This
includes giving sometime and silence in between the conversation by saying
that we will call in 2 or 3 days in order to take a proper time to make a
decision. An easy way to convey a message is using symbols and metaphors
which can keep the information secret and private (Sand L). in some cases
the doctors make direct conversation with the patient and love once to save
the time and make them aware about the actual situation. This will help
them to take precautions and help which ever needed to save the life of
patient. It is believe that, many doctors prefer that before giving any
treatment to the patient the need to impart a hope among their loved ones
in order to get the treatment done effectively. The quality of the
communication will be maintained through two way communication when
both the patient and their families are able to understand the short coming
and its consequences. It has also available that difficult conversations have
the separate strength and limitations for the professionals. The method of

generalization could be applied for gathering data in qualitative research
that maintain a balanced insight about the information (Kuuppelomäki M)).

The topic of the article is Adaptations to the Serious Illness
Conversation Guide to Be More Culturally Safe which is written by Elizabeth
Beddard-Huber (Adaptations to the Serious Illness Conversation Guide to Be
More Culturally Safe, (2021).. The serious illness conversation guide is an
effective tool used by the professionals in order to interact with the patient
and their family while suffering from Life causing disease. The aim of the
study was to analyse the effective communication skills in order to interact
with family members. The group of population is above 18. The method of
research used here is qualitative to find the data accurately and within less
time. It has evaluated from the article that many service has been done with
nurses who are the main role player to treat the patient and interconnect
with them (Mack, J., & Smith, T. (2012)). Collaborative relationships were
formed through exchanging knowledge and information in the United States
and New Zealand. Many people have experienced losing their loved ones for
that for that instance and elder describe his wife that death in a serious way
because for Death was not honoured in that situation therapist was required
to make her comfort and out of the depression zone (Mack, Weeks, Wright,
Block, S., Prigerson, (2010)). The way of conversation is important in this
situation that how the professionals could meet with the needs of an
individual. The key finding analysed from the community is number 20 and
the second one is number 15 that has gathered through taking feedbacks
from nurses. A patient illness test is required for the first Nation people in
which a proper setup will be created. It includes assessing, sharing, exploring
and closer of the conversation in a productive way. The limitation of this
project is that a low response rate of online service will give less data to find
the correct value and believes of people regarding illness conversation
guide. The reconciliation process is a responsibility to create a safe space for

healthy literacy and respect of tradition and values of the patient (Reinking,
(2019)). The main believe of this conversation is to differentiation among
cultural background and build a relationship to form a healthy conversation.
This will enhance the quality of life of the Canadians in order to start their
reconciliation process (Nursing Council of New Zealand. (2012)).
Preparing Students for Difficult Conversations with Patients and Families
The topic of the article is Preparing Students for Difficult Conversations
with Patients and Families which is written by Assistant Clinical Professor
(Preparing Students for Difficult Conversations with Patients and Families,
(2020)). The aim of the study was to analyse the effective communication
skills in order to interact with family members. The group of population is
above 18. The method of research used here is qualitative to find the data
accurately and within less time. Communication is the key for every
individual which gets developed in some time for the professionals. It is
based on quality of communication that creates focus on the provider and
professionalism. The patient experiences the clinical outcomes of the role
play. The communication skills will remain uncertain and sufficient for the
simulation process. Communication with parents involved hesitation and a
challenge for a student during their nursing education. Almost 44%
Europeans had received communication training for the topic of vaccines and
address patient problems. Lack of training results in-effective treatment
which is not helpful for their further education (Aldridge, (2017)). Simulation
process is necessary for a student to wear difficult conversations with
parents and families while practicing nursing (Bussard, & Lawrence, (2019)).
This tool is used for conducting original data to gain relevant information
from 10 nurses who are in there training period through electronic survey. A
scenario has been created for the students for simulation process in which
they get opportunity to introduce themselves in front of the parents.
Students are divided among five group in which each one of them reflect
there only use about communication and teaching the parents for better

mental condition. This seems that, there is requirement of better training
programmers which will be able to showcase how the scenario has created
with the students. There is requirement of signified programmers which is
believed to be beneficial for the students. This shows that, the student must
be enabling self evaluation practices for the better way of developing inter-
connected relationship (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC].
(2019))
At last, I mainly liked the article of students for difficult conversation
with patients and families. It shows how the student should be able to
manage their conversations with the parents. This shows that, they should
manage their studies by doing practical implementation of the
communication. Therefore, it has seemed that, this is required for the
appropriate behavior that must be enabling for the self assessment and
evaluation of the patient beliefs and values. There is requirement of the
trainings and guidance for being into conversations and deliver messages for
generating right information.
