Introduction
Poverty is a serious issue faced by many families at global level. Families live in poverty are more vulnerable to face many issues
associated to health, finance, relationship problems and substance misuse. Poor financial status restricts people to access good
nutritional diet, good education and overall quality life. Burden of financial stress can result in create mental stress among parents
and children. There are many factors that lead medium class families to low financial status includes; lack of work, rising living
cots, low pay and inadequate social security advantages. Breakdown within families is a common behavior to see due to financial
crisis (Assari, 2018). Lack of money make an individual unable to indulge in higher education, fulfil their needs and demands,
provide them a good life. Such issues lead to breakdown between children and parents and some issues even may raise between both
the parents. Separation of parents can worsen the situation and may adversely impact mental health of children as well as partners
(ROOPAK and et. al., 2018).
Poverty can negatively affect families and caregivers in many ways:
Higher mortality rates:
Poverty leads people to experience worse health outcomes and increase risk of mental health conditions (Like anxiety, stress,
depression, substance abuse disorder, etc.) The burden of poverty, does not allow adequate health care access and limit
financial resources for treatment, exacerbate health conditions (ROOPAK and et. al., 2018).
Family stress model:
Inter-parental conflict plays a key role in family dynamics and can adversely impact child outcomes. Poverty can be
considered as a major stress for families. Conflicts can arise between parents and children due to economic pressure. Living
conditions like overcrowded housing and housing instability generally observe to effect family relationships. Even somehow
impact on relationship between siblings may also get affected (Brady, 2019).
Work-life balance:
Poverty leads people to face many struggles. People living in poor financial conditions have to work irrespective of time,
place, position. Busy work-life generally does not allow them to make time for their children, home caring, get involved in
