INTRODUCTION
Digital innovation is the process which is used to make the individual more creative and
there are various tools which can be used in order to achieve great results in the market. The
main focus of the company is to become more profitable in market by implementing different
improvements in workplace (Liu, and et.al, 2021). The report aims to analyse about
understanding the importance of digital innovation in the workplace. Morrisons is one of the
largest supermarket which provides various quality products to the consumers. The organisation
has 497 supermarkets across various regions. The company is headquartered in Bradford, West
Yorkshire England. The company is using the competitive pricing strategy to attract new
potential customers in market. On the other hand, this report will evaluate all the key stages of
project lifecycle. Along with that, there will be brief discussion about the project management
plan which includes various stages. This helps to asses various risks which needs to be addressed
properly. For further instance, in this report there are multiple research methodologies which is
used to carry put the research properly.

Project cycle include various stages which helps the individual to stare the project sand
evaluate every aspects in a detailed manner. There are five phases in this project lifecycle which
is mentioned below:
 Initiating Phase – This is one of the most initial stage of project lifecycle. This point
determined what are the visions and goals which the company wants to achieve in market
(Huynh, 2021). There are various key components of a project charter which includes
business case, deliveries, objectives, resource needed etc. In this stage the main focus is
to innovate different ideas which could implemented in the workplace to achieve
different goals and objectives in market. With the help of digital tools the workplace
could be transformed and they can manage their working operations effectively.
 Planning Phase – This is the stage where the company builds their infrastructure in order
to achieve different goals and objectives. The organisation can use different constraints to
implement the digital infrastructure in workplace. This will help them to manage the
working operations effectively (Liu, and et.al, 2022). The company can achieve a
significant growth over a period of time.
 Executing Phase – This is the stage where the budget is set there are different methods
which can be used in order to achieve the goals. Execution is one of the most vital stage
and digital innovation could help the company to provide the products and services as per
latest marketing trends.

 Monitoring and Controlling Phase – The organisation can track the actual progress of
project. There are various corrective measures which needs to be taken by the
organisation in an effective manner. With the help of digital tools the organisation can

asses their critical areas in order to enhance the overall productivity of workplace. Digital

different statistical figures in an effective manner. This research method will help to make
different graphs to show the overall performance of the company and the areas in which there is

Research strategy is a method which is used to create a path in an effective manner. The

includes two methods which is probability and non probability. In this research the probability
sampling method is used. In this the data can be collected form various sources and there are
various new opportunities on which the individual can capitalise (Wang, 2021). Morrisons is
selected on the basis of random sampling.

The research methods could help to complete the work in a given period of time. There
are various data of the individuals which can be evaluated. There are certain researching methods
which includes the data collection and sampling. Through, this the researcher can focus on
collecting the data for the wider range of people. The individual can gather the primary data
which is raw and it needs to be assessed properly (Zwikael, Chih, and Meredith, 2018). On the
other hand, the secondary data is already been evaluated and it has been collected form the
certified and reliable sources.
P4 Producing a PMP that covers, aim, objectives, deliverables, quality, risk, and other

Deliverables
Deliverables are the results which is attained by doing certain activities in the project. It
can be negative and positive. In this project management plan the investigation which is used is
questionnaire. It helps in preparing the proper planning by analysing the effective data and the
research and aims could be prepared. The primary deliverables of this is Questionaries. ON the

other hand the Gantt chart is also prepared which helps in completing the project in a systematic
time frame.
Quality
The quality of the project helps in improving different aspects in an significant manner.
In this project the primary and secondary research is used because it helps in gathering more
amount of data from different established sources (Eggert, Ulaga, and Gehring, 2020). Primary
data will certainly helps to complete this project in an effective manner the data can also be

structure which includes initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out. It helps the

It is the horizontal chart which helps to understand different activities. With the help of this
Gantt the team members can complete the work in an effective manner. They can complete it on

has accelerated the growth of digital transformation and the world became more friendly and
convenient in suing the technologies and adapting the changes also. This transformation is ,such
needed by the buy business and the organisation as the fast moving world requires easy access
over various technologies and other functions so that any issue or hindrances in their task can be
removed. The digitation of the business results in the increase in productivity and the efficient
resource management is also promoted. Digitalisation also encourages the sharing of knowledge
and various ideas because various platforms and creative mindsets came into collaboration across
the departments in an organisation. The workforce transformation has many benefits as well, as it
may laid to a wide variety of employer advantages including the empowering of the employees
to work more effectively and efficiently by which the productivity of the employers can also be
increased along with that, it also increases the customer satisfaction, drives the Data based
insights and enables the software monetization.
Morrisons is a British multinational grocery and general merchandising retailer which is
headquartered in England. This company is the third largest retailer in the world. As technology
is upgrading day by day and the customers are also being techno-friendly so it is important for
the business and the organisation to promote the digital workforce transformation. Tesco has
improved its digitisation and has opted advanced options to improve the in-store organisation.
The customers are now armed with the scanning devices so that they can do a manual check out.
Along with that it has also promoted its online grocery shopping store which can help the
customers to go digital and can shop from their smartphones.
Sainsbury is the second largest supermarket chain operating in United kingdom which has also
transformed the capabilities of its online business promoting the digital workforce
transformation. As the customer's scan a QR code using their smartphone application which is

linked to the credit or debit card. The company is being digital along with time adapting changes
in itself.
Value and benefits of using innovative digital tools.
The business across the world enjoys the benefits of using the digital technology as it is more
easy and convenient to perform various activities and manage different tasks at a time. The
digital tools also helps The business to get modernize and they can become more productive and
can also accelerate the workforce and functional ability of the organisation. The Morrisons
retailing company is using the machine learning technology to make the work more accurate and
functional covering vast data to make the ordering decisions correct.

I am very grateful that I got this project to complete the work and understand the effect of
digital innovation in workplace. There are certain strengths and weakness which helps me to
complete this project in an effective manner. The most important skills which I had inherent is
decision making. It helps me to take certain valuable decisions which could help the company to
achieve different targets in the market. The weakness is that I had missed certain deadlines
because of the ineffective time management. The Gantt chart is prepared to overcome different

challenges and completing different activities in the given time span. The investigation is also
completed by allocating the data form various sources.

The project management process could help the researcher to achieve the goals and

In this research there is an extensive use of the digital transformation of the workplace.
There are variolous aims and objectives which could be evaluated by the individual (Alvarenga,
and et.al 2019). I have learned things form the research which includes various research method
and Project life cycle phase. This helps to asses different risks and and complete the certified
goals and objectives in a an appropriate manner. The main focus is to different skills and
capabilities which will help achieve great results in future.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has evaluated that digital innovation in the workplace could
help the organisation to achieve certain goals and objectives. It has been also analysed that
research methods includes includes various aspects which will help to evaluate different aspects
and complete the work in a timely manner. On the other hand in this report there is evaluation
project life cycle process which includes certain stages. This helps to carry out the plan
effectively with the implementation of certain new methods and strategies. Along with that, this
report also aims to analyse about understanding the use Gantt chart which includes certain
