INTRODUCTION
Digital innovation is the process which is used to make the individual more creative and
there are various tools which can be used in order to achieve great results in the market. The
main focus of the company is to become more profitable in market by implementing different
improvements in workplace (Liu, and et.al, 2021). The report aims to analyse about
understanding the importance of digital innovation in the workplace. Morrisons is one of the
largest supermarket which provides various quality products to the consumers. The organisation
has 497 supermarkets across various regions. The company is headquartered in Bradford, West
Yorkshire England. The company is using the competitive pricing strategy to attract new
potential customers in market. On the other hand, this report will evaluate all the key stages of
project lifecycle. Along with that, there will be brief discussion about the project management
plan which includes various stages. This helps to asses various risks which needs to be addressed
properly. For further instance, in this report there are multiple research methodologies which is
used to carry put the research properly.

Overview of the research – The research aims to analyse about investigating the
importance of digital innovation in workplace. This will also help the organisation to carry out
operations effectively and attain maximum customers satisfaction. Morrisons is the retail
supermarket which provides quality products to the consumers. The organisation could
implement different ideas in the workplace to enhance their overall operations and achieve more
profitability in market.

P1 Explaining different stages of project lifecycle (PLC) and their use the completion of a
project
Project cycle include various stages which helps the individual to stare the project sand
evaluate every aspects in a detailed manner. There are five phases in this project lifecycle which
is mentioned below:
Initiating Phase – This is one of the most initial stage of project lifecycle. This point
determined what are the visions and goals which the company wants to achieve in market
(Huynh, 2021). There are various key components of a project charter which includes
business case, deliveries, objectives, resource needed etc. In this stage the main focus is
to innovate different ideas which could implemented in the workplace to achieve
different goals and objectives in market. With the help of digital tools the workplace
could be transformed and they can manage their working operations effectively.
Planning Phase – This is the stage where the company builds their infrastructure in order
to achieve different goals and objectives. The organisation can use different constraints to
implement the digital infrastructure in workplace. This will help them to manage the
working operations effectively (Liu, and et.al, 2022). The company can achieve a
significant growth over a period of time.
Executing Phase – This is the stage where the budget is set there are different methods
which can be used in order to achieve the goals. Execution is one of the most vital stage
and digital innovation could help the company to provide the products and services as per
latest marketing trends.

Monitoring and Controlling Phase – The organisation can track the actual progress of
project. There are various corrective measures which needs to be taken by the
organisation in an effective manner. With the help of digital tools the organisation can
monitor the performance of the employees (Holotiuk, and Moormann, 2018). They can
asses their critical areas in order to enhance the overall productivity of workplace. Digital
innovation is one of the mist crucial factor which helps the organisation to reach higher
outputs.
Closing Phase – This is the final phase of project cycle which helps the organisation to
implement a solidarity process. It includes all the important aspects which needs to be
taken viable in order to achieve the overall goals and objectives in the market. Digital
innovation in workplace improves the company performance and fulfil their overall
targets in market in an effective manner (Huesig, and Endres, 2018). The project could
also become successful in every manner.
