Task 0 – Setting Up
An analysis is made on the business process of Garment land which has the specialization
on manufacturing cloths and creating custom garments. Problems in the current business process
are evaluated for automating some of the business operation and reducing the manual steps that
are needed to be taken for performing different business operation. The fixed cost and the wages
of the staffs are recorded and the working hours and shift timing are recorded for development of
the solution to the problem of the organization. There are three team members Alexa, Briony and
Celia working for different schedule in the week. The working hours and the working days and
the fixed cost are recorded for the calculation of the cost of operating the business. A table is
created for recording the details and given below:

For getting the details of the order information a graph is generated from the excel sheet
where new tables are added from pivot table for identification of quotation variation based on
time and identification of the manufacturing cost.

The maximum variation is found for the silk xl garment type for the quotation given at
the end of three staffs. The average of quote amount is highest for the silk XXL type of garment
but the standard deviation of quote amount is less for it.
Task 3 – Price Consistency
The consistency of price is maintained for the ingle item manufactured by Garment Land
company and for this a linearity is needed to be maintained for creation of quotation based on
materials and the sizes. The business process model is created such that quotation that is needed
to be made by the staffs is automated. The development of the BPMN diagram helps in
identification of the requirement for development of the system and develop the information
system aligning the business needs for the elimination of the errors in the system. The
information system should be developed such that the organizational growth can be improved
and boost the productivity of the employees and support the growth of the organization.

The diagram describes that the staff working with the organization should be able to
select the material and its size based on the customer needs and the system should find the details
from the data inserted for displaying the result. The historical data is used and the average
quotation for the selected category is calculated for displaying the result.

Task 4 – Process Involvement
The business process can be improved with the addition of multiple fields and improve
the usability of the information system. The addition of new column depending on the result that
is need to be obtained from the information system helps in eliminating the errors. A drop down
list is used for reducing the effort of the user and reducing the risk of wrong entry in the database
for checking available items in the stock and finding the items that should be manufactured. The
popularity of the material can also be found from the count of quote amount and if the value is
less than 10 the item is displayed as unpopular or else popular.
