In present era technology is being used in all sectors. This has made it easy to do complex
task. Also, with use of advance tools and applications it has become easy to manage all work.
Likewise, in health care there is advance use of technology in it. This has supported
practitioners and professionals to provide high quality care services to people. Furthermore,
efficiency in health care is enhanced. With that digital literacy concept has increased. The
individual are able to analyse and compose info on various media sources.
The report will describe about use of technology in health care and during covid 19. Also, it
will be discussed about use of digital communication and relevance of digital literacy in health
care.
Use of contemporary technology in healthcare
It is analysed that technology is used in many ways in health care. Now, data and info of
patient health is recorded electronically (Blake., and et.al., 2020). This means that there are
electronic health records maintained by hospitals. Thus, it has made it easy to share record and
data of patient with health care professionals and practitioners. Besides, all info is integrated
together which has led to fast and efficient transfer. Through that, it has become easy to
analyse past record of patient and provide them efficient care. In addition, telemedicine is used
by which telehealth is becoming popular. By help of that in rural areas patient are being treated
virtually with help of doctor. Alongside, it has resulted in decrease in cost in providing health
care services to patient. It is said that telehealth is saving up to $100 per doctor. Along with it,
use of remote health monitoring tools has resulted in saving cost. People are able to monitor
their health with advance technology. The wearable technology is helping doctors and patient to
collect data and monitor their health. For instance – wearing of wrist watch and bands has
allowed individual to access health in effective way.
Use of technology during Covid-19
During covid 19 technology is playing vital role. It has been evaluated that genome
sequencing is done to analyses person genomic info. Thus, it has helped in saving life of
people. Moreover, through this procedure the vaccine of covid 19 is developed. Apart from it, in
genome sequencing AI is used as well. Hence, integration of medicine and technology is useful
in fighting covid 19 (Hilty, Turvey and Hwang., 2018). The pandemic hows that the most if the
countries ll over the world use the integrated Digital technologist during the COVID into the
government coordinated containment process like contact tracing , testing of the patent's
thorough the digital equipment etc. many people who get into the critical conditions were
