Concept of virtual learning environment
According to Aluja-Banet, Sancho and Vukic, 2019, virtual learning environment refers
to educational technology in which digital aspects are used while providing students with course
of study. These are provided by various educational institutions. Regarding present sources there
are a number of activities and interactions between the course structures which is providing
assessment to students at different levels. Virtual learning environment also includes
participation of different institutional systems. Students are learning with the help of teachers are
instructors who are the mentors in virtual learning environment. It is their work to design
environment in a way which will provide them with maximum level of educational services.
Challenges faced by students during COVID-19 related to effective learning.
According to Chui and et. al., 2020, there are a number of challenges which are faced by
students while they are learning through virtual learning environment. It is often seen that they
do caters are not well supported to do their jobs due to which the learning of students is effective.
It is often seen that there are no products with the educators to help them filter through various
resources and quality of the material due to which they cannot serve student well. Another issue
with virtual learning environment is that every student cannot afford it successfully. It is often
seen that there are a number of educational technology enabled learning approaches which can
be used by institutions in virtual learning environment but a number of students fail to use these
resources successfully. Due to which their test scores are also not up to the mark.
The impact of Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) on student’s learning during pandemic
COVID-19.
According to Ouherrou and et. al., 2019, there are a number of impacts of virtual learning
environment on students learning during the pandemic of COVID-19. These impacts are
negative as well as positive. The positive impacts on students are that they have a number of
different opportunities with the help of which they can successfully use different approaches and
enhance their learning. The educators are also provided with more respect and appreciation and
due to this the quality of learning and virtual learning environment enhances. It will also help
students in growing their collaboration with the educators. With the help of the students from
different boundaries are also coming together which is a big opportunity helping in cultural
competency.
