INTRODUCTION
In the present contemporary world, novel technologies are increasingly playing a crucial role
in both the communities and in the economy(Ranta, 2021). For the purpose of remaining
competitive, businesses are required to continuously update along with up skill the competences
of their employees. Based on this, the main aim of the current research report is to explore the
influence of a range of digital technologies on the workplace which is the regional college in
greater Manchester area. The college is planning to expand and double the size of campus. As
assistance to the managing direction in developing strategy, the report will evaluate the manners
in which the digital technologies will support the aim and services of the business plus enables
communication with the customers, promote their business for encouraging people to visit their
site. The report will also develop a transformational strategy for supporting the execution of
digital technologies and will design a mobile application for supporting digital strategy.

Importance of digital business to regional college in global context
The present era is being embarked by profound technological development. Digital
technologies are becoming more powerful, getting quicker and are less expensive(Badawy,
2020). They are also merging in different manners in companies for maximizing the efficiency
and potential. Because of the covid19 pandemic and present global context, there is an important
influence on the worldwide economies and thus, digital business environment is the main focus
for companies (Chaffey, 2019). With the use of digital technologies such as cloud computing,
customer centric technologies, Gmail and other video conferencing tools, it is becoming quite
easy for the companies to carry out operations effectively.
Range of digital business approaches
Transactional e-commerce sites – It is being referred as an electronic storefront for a
brick-and-mortar retailer that desire to sell directly to the general public. These sites
enable the users to purchase things online. These e-commerce sites support the company

through supplying data to the clients who indicates to purchase products(Goestjahjanti,
and et.al., 2022).For example, Amazon, Argos and Ebuyer.
Portal or media sites and social networks – These are being defines as the web-based
platforms which collects data form varied sources into a single user interface and offers
the users the most pertinent data for their context. It includes social media platforms such
as Facebook, Instagram, twitter, YouTube and so forth. Such kind of sites plays a crucial
role in educating and informing the mass with the current happenings across the world
and newest updates (Bocij, Greasley and Hickie, 2018).
Service oriented relationship building sites – The primary aim of such kind of sites is
nothing but to deliver data for encouraging purchase and to set connection with the
clients. in this, products are not accessible for purchase online rather data is provided to
the clients by the websites and email marketing for guiding the decision related to
purchase(Holzinger, and et.al., 2019). The main contribution of the firm is motivating the
offline sales and development of leads and enquiries. Such kind of websites can also offer
an assistance to the existing clients through presenting them with data which is of their
interest. For example, Accenture, British Gas.
Cloud computing – It is being referred as the on-demand delivery of information
technology resources over internet which involves, database, storage, servers, networking
and analytics.
Artificial intelligence – Artificial intelligence such as Chatbot can be utilized by the
college for offering automated replies to queries of the potential students and can support
them in performing fundamental activities on the website of the college.
Data analytics – It is defined as the process of investigating the data sets for finding trend
and drawing conclusions. In the college it can be used for offering data in regards with
the age and gender of the users and interest being expressed by them across their online
ravel.
