Research rationale:
According to Miscovich, 2021, The use of digital technology is increasing day by day at every field in life.
Businesses are taking growth through using online platforms for which employees need to adjust with new
working environment. This shows that the digital technology will be the future of business success. This topic is
important to analyse the challenges of using technology so that, I could clear my future path. My goal is to
become a leader in a reputed organisation. So I want to improve convincing and interpersonal skills to manage
workplace in the company. Through analysing this topic, I can seek growth in my life by working on my
personal interest which is to be a versatile leader. This can be done through focusing on digital challenges to
bring workplace transformation in positive manner.

According to Souza, , 2022, The digital technology is used widely in the business operations. At the time of
pandemic, it is the only way to grow business in an effective manner. The pandemic has caused much trouble
in the market due to which business could not reach to customers. Using digital technology, online deliveries,
customer services are provided. All the business functions can be done through using software’s, online

channels and employee performance tools. Along with that, the digital technology is useful for providing best
customer experience. It becomes effective when employees learn to formulate strategies in creative manner.
therefore, digital technology has wider use in business functioning during the pandemic.
To examine the impact of digital technology on the workplace transformation in Café pod company.
According to Ulukan, 2020,The digital technology has great impact on workplace transformation in Cafepod
company. It is a SME of London which has faced losses during the Covid- 19. There are some positive as well
as negative impact which includes digital technology is helpful for bringing innovation in workplace whereas, it
creates barriers in communication and difficulty in adopting the environment. The company has the impact of
digital technology in negative ways as they are not able to utilise technical resources which impact on their
performance. but there is good impact of digital workplace transformation is that efficiency, convenience and
communication becomes easy in order to achieve business goals.
To identify the challenges faced by employees during workplace transformation in pandemic.
According to Williams, and Schubert, 2018, Workplace transformation is all about making employees
adaptable in dynamic business situation. Employees have found the business challenging during Covid-19 and
there was strict requirement of workplace transformation by making business online. The employees are not
getting effective training as they are working from home and remote areas. The people are not allowed to go
outside and work from sites. Therefore, they find it challenging to use digital software, make communication
with the leaders and managers, check their work performance and be aware about necessary workplace changes
in the learning environment.
To provide solutions for coping up with transformation challenges in Cafépod coffee company.
The business like Cafépod Coffee company has faced by transformational challenges to retain employees in
business. The challenges like unaware about digital software and technology will impact on the performance of
employees. For that instance, the leaders and managers need to make new strategies and plans to communicate
with employees. Also, proper training and regular feedbacks is crucial to connect with employees and find
workplace issues.

Section Five: Research approach and methodologies
Research approach: It is all about taking a wider perspective of conducting the research. It gives a clear
demonstration of how the research is going to conduct. It is of two types inductive and deductive. This research
is based on deductive approach which does not require a new theory to be formed. Therefore, inductive research
is not suitable which is time consuming and cost taking.
Research philosophy: This part of the research involves philosophies which includes beliefs and assumptions
that is going to use throughout the report. There are two philosophies like interpretivism and positivism in which
this research is based on intrepretivism philosophy. This is about using theoretical concepts which is less time
consuming and boost knowledge about the concept Zimmer, , Baiyere, and Salmela, 2020. Also, positivism
philosophy depends on the scientific reasons and logics which do not work with this research.
Research methodology
It is methods and way of doing research in an effective manner. choosing right methods and tool will result in
conducting research by fulfilling its aim and objectives.
Data collection: there are mainly two methods of collecting data in both theoretical and statistical manner.
quantitative method used for gathering information in statistical manner whereas, theoretical data can be
collected through qualitative method. This research is based on quantitative as it gives more realistic data. these
two methods are a part of primary and secondary research in which most suitable for this research in primary
method/
Sampling: It is a method of collecting information from people through asking question. This research use
random sampling method in which 50 respondents are the participants.
