Digital Trust2 Introduction Digital transformation is the basic need of most of the business because of the high level of performance and accuracy in the working processes. It is necessary to manage different business functions of an organization in a good manner(Palvia, Lowe, Nemati, & Jacks, 2012). Therefore, technology provides optimization and betterment of many business processes. The health record systems are the best example of the uses of technologies in the healthcare sector (Pai & Huang, 2011). This essay will describe the role of a health record system in Australia and its benefits to different people, such as patients, doctors, and management as well. It will explain about goals of health record system and how it creates trust in the patients. The Health/Wellbeing Context The health is the most important thing of a person. It is necessary to do anything, as a fit person can work for more time and it is related to their personal life as well. Health is necessary to factor in a person’s personal and professional life. Therefore, it is necessary to make ourselves healthy(myhealthrecord.gov.au, 2019). There are many factors, which makes an impact on the health and it is necessary to make a health record on a monthly or yearly basis. It can create based on medical checkup reports and other documents. The health record is useful for many diseases. Therefore, it is necessary for everyone to maintain a record of their health in soft copy as well as a hardcopy of reports(Howard, et al., 2013). My Goal My health record is having the goal to make a secure online record of people health, which is only shared with their doctors to provide knowledge about the history of patients and medicines and other things(myhealthrecord.gov.au, 2019). There are many reasons to create my health record by the Australian government, such as issues in treatment, delay in treatment, research, and many others. The many goals of my health record are provided whole information related to the patients, which is helpful for different things, such as treatment. Electronic health care system is not successful in Australia because of its various issues related to privacy and security. It is costly as well. Therefore, a common system is generated in 2015 by the Australian government(Xu, Gao, Sorwar, & Croll, 2013).
Digital Trust3 My Health Record The Australian government has faced issues related to the medical records of patients. Many organizations have created personal databases to store information of patients and their health record, which is not secure and having less privacy. Therefore, the Australian government creates a common portal to create health records of most of the person, which is taking any medication or treatment from any place in Australian as well as the whole world. My Health Record is an online database, which has all the necessary data about patients (Fernández-Alemán, Señor, Lozoya, & Toval, 2013). The Australian Digital Health Agency is managing My Health Record system at the national level. National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) provides different resources to manage different operations of My Health Record system. It has many other resources as well to manage their records. In August 2017, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Health Council approved Australia’s National Digital Health strategy (2018-2022). It has uses data mining applications in the healthcare sector(Koh & Tan, 2011). How I engaged with it I learned that My Health record is the best way to research in medical science and the most important use of this system in the treatment of patients with a high level of care. It is beneficial for patients as well as doctors in the treatment. Many times, an emergency happens and that time My Health Record is used to know about the patients’ health history within few minutes. My health record systems used by tens of thousands of public and private hospitals, healthcare practitioners, community pharmacies and many others. It uses a number of software to manage different operations, including Smartclinies, Fred IT, Best Practice, gEnie, MedTech32, and many others. Digital Trust My health record makes trust in people to secure their personal data with laws and cybersecurity. The whole system is working under the rule and regulations of the national government and it is fully protected with technologies, such as firewall, IPS, IDS, and many other things(Charette, 2018). It provides privacy and security to the data and information of patients.The electronic health record is a good system, but it has some issues related to privacy and security of patient’s data about their health(Angst & Agarwal, 2009). TheMy Health Record system is making faith in people related to their personal health data and personal information. It has created many rules and regulations to upload imaging and pathology records of patients in online my health record.
