Maintenance of internal organizational communication is essential for enhancing the
overall organizational culture and the productivity of the organization. However, too much
focus on communication might also affect the productivity of the business (Chris cancialosi,
2016). This essay is going to critically analyse the concept of implementing digital
communication in the workplace.
With the enhancement of the technological era, it has become essential for the
business to move towards the adoption of several digital tactics (Irene Rufferly, 2017).
Communication, being one essential element of the organizational culture, need to get require
amount of attention. Digital communication has no longer a future trend (Rushad Billimoria.
2018). Application of this can enhance the employee engagement, improve the
communication process, attract and retain the employee and their skills even enhance the
annual revenue (Bordi et al, 2018). However, the process will majorly harm the interpersonal
communication and increase dependency on system. In addition, it can also incur additional
cost of the company and security concerns are also there (Janelle raney, 2019). However,
looking towards the digital era, it can be said that, adoption of the digital communication
inside the business workplace is no longer left as an option, rather it has become an essential
requirement for overall improvement of the organization.
Conclusion
Overall application of digital communication techniques allows the employees to take
control on their work-life and maintain balance between the work and personal life.
Organizations having effective digital communication channels can create a balanced
business culture are more likely to effectively engage its workforce.
