Question 1:
For the successful execution of any project, the contribution of all the team members is of
extreme importance. There are ways to make such contribution possible; first of all the leader
would need to make his/her team members feel the ownership of the project/activity and
appreciate their contribution. Contribution will enhance once every member is given the chance
to speak about their ideas. Assigning personal responsibility would also make every team
member to contribute completely to the project.
Question 2:
It is significant for the leaders to be able to notice the performance issues of the team
members and impose proper corrective action for resolving the issues. The leader must be aware
of the performance problem and describe the behavioural expectation to the team; if the poor
performance continues, corrective action needs to be undertaken that must be direct and firm,
however not punishing. The consequence of the performance should be clearly communicated
with the team.
Question 3:
To be a role model, a leader must have to present a positive attitude towards his team.
He/she must know how to express calm and perseverance while face stressful situations.
Moreover, a role model must earn the trust and build a character that is trustworthy. Integrity is
an important characteristic; the leader must work for the team and not for personal achievement.

An ideal leader would increase the productivity of the organization that would create a positive
image of the organization in front of the stakeholders.
Question 4:
Proper communication with both internal and external stakeholders will limit
misunderstanding, improve productivity and clarify expectations of the stakeholders and
decrease conflicts; this will lead the organization to success. For doing so, identifying a clear
target audience is significant. Next, the objectives of the communication must be clearly set; the
message that is to be conveyed must be prepared in advance and it is significant that this
communication is exchanged in the stakeholder’s language.
Question 5:
Both line managers and team workers are an important asset for any organization. It helps
in the deliverance of an effective internal communication. Communication must be clear
between the line manager and the team; instead of tasking the team with requirements only, the
line management should make it clear what their expectations are. Finally, if the line
management offers their direct support to the team, it will enhance the level of communication
between them and the team.
Question 6:
The leader must act as the presenter of the needs of his/her team in management
communications. When any team member issue is not resolved in the first approach, needs to
have most of the focus upon it in order to ensure that a resolution is achieved; or else team
