It is important to maintain professionalism during setting up networking events and
seminars. The clients will be ensured of being provided assistance service at all times and not
discriminate against any ideas, suggestions and concerns brought by them.

The list of acts or legislation to be followed for ensuring non-discrimination against any
person along with the importance are listed as follows:
 “Age discrimination act 2004”- This is important to ensure that people are not treated in
a less favoured manner on the ground of their age.
 “Disability Discrimination Act 1992”- The main objectives of this act are to ensure
eliminate any instance of discrimination against people with disabilities and at the same
time promote communal acceptance with people with such disorders. This act ensures
equality before law.
 “Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986”- This act is important for ensuring
all human beings are treated with equal rights.
 “Racial Discrimination Act 1975”- This act ensures promotion of equality before the law
irrespective of an individual’s ethnic origin, race, nationality and colour.
 “Sex Discrimination Act 1984”- This act will ensure to promote equality between men
and women and remove any instance of discrimination among gender, marital status or
family responsibilities (Humanrights.gov.au 2019).
