INTRODUCTION Leadership traits allows the leader to manage the team and lead them in forward direction to lay out organizational objectives and goals (Syed, Rehman and Kitchlew, 2018). Report will cover the case study as the great lake food firm who are looking for filling the job with knowledgeable person. Case study evaluation of selecting the right director As per the case study it is stated that Sandra coke who is working as a vice president for great lake food who have around 1000 employees. Sandra is receiving a pressure from her company's president to select the new director who will be responsible for the production and to test the new products. There are three candidates for this post which the Sandra is looking for one is Alexa smith who is long time employee of GLF, Kelsey Metts who has 5 year working experience with GLF and last candidate Thomas who have been working with the GLF about 10 years. Points to be noted is it is essential for the firm to hire a person who have good skills and knowledge plus they must have patience and persistence to accept the challenges. Business always operates with the risk therefore in such person's patience enables them to make effective decisions. Kelsey Metts is the right choice for the director position as she has 5 year experience while working with the GLF every member of the company know her and her capability for laying out the work. Plus she has knowledge to manage the quality for the products and services. It is also obtain that Kelsey metts has good intellectual ability that enables her to lead the team efficiently (Toh and Ruot, 2019). As working for 5 years also stated that she has good relation with other members of the firm, so she will be able to communicate with others, she is also determinant towards their work, this is the reason she became a candidate for this post. Also every supervisor in the team has shared that they have good experience while working with the Kelsey, and they also stated she has the capability to lead the team in forward direction. Traits approach is beneficial in selecting the right candidates with the help of this sandra will be able to know the intelligence, integrity, self-confidence and determination factor.With the help of this traits table Sandra can easily categorise the candidates according to their leadership traits. As for the director post it is important to have good leadership skills so that work can be managed accordingly, good leadership will enable the director to manage the work
force. Sociability is another factor that helps the leader to develop the relationship with the other members of the organisation. Having a good relation will create the chances for innovation opportunities.
