EXECUTIVE SUMMARY In the year 2015, Nepal has witnessed an earthquake with 7.8 magnitudes and it resultedin loss of life and property within the entire nation. Due to this natural disaster people living inthe social community were adversely affected. For effective management of natural disasterresponse plan has been developed where main motive behind the same is to reduce the overallimpact of earthquake and individuals who have been affected due to this disaster can be providedproper support in best possible manner. The first and the most significant stage of response planis associated with the responsibility of the regulatory authorities to focus on the identification ofthe different hazards. Developing public awareness, training and information dissemination canbe termed as three major and most important element of visual disaster program. Apart from this,the human resources management plan will play a very important role in recovering propertiesand people to the previous state. It can be recommended the earthquake readiness plan should bepresent every time so that the adverse impact caused by such disasters can be lower down.PART 1 INTRODUCTION TO SCENARIO1.1 Critical analysis of disaster scenarioThe Nepal earthquake which happened in the year 2015 can be termed as a disaster thatresulted in mass level destruction. It can be expressed that the disaster resulted in the death ofmore than 9000 people including local people, travellers, and tourists. In addition to this,approximately 22000 individuals got injured because of the earthquake[ CITATION Wal14 \l1033 ]. The earthquake was of 7.8 magnitudes, and the natural disaster did huge damage to lifeand property in Kathmandu. According to the estimation of United Nations, the life of almost 8million people was affected because of the earthquake. Apart from this, the earthquake is alsoconsidered as the worst quake to strike in the 80 years history of Kathmandu. On the other hand,it can be critically argued that just after 17 days of this disaster, the area became a victim ofanother earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3[ CITATION Bha14 \l 1033 ]. The government of thecountry to also asked for local and international support to deal with the damage and carry outreconstructions. 1.2 Content of the response plan The earthquake response plan can be termed as the operational plan that consists of detailedstrategies and actions taken to deal with situations such as the earthquake.
