DISCUSSION OF INTERVENTION2 Caitlin Freeman The intervention, which seeks to create a program aimed at increasing physical activity at federal worksites, to show and reap the benefits of increased physical activity. Physical inactivity is a hazard aspect for multiple chronic health conditions, while increased activity will improve the workspace mood and productivity. You note that the Physical Activity guide recommendation of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity is not enough to supplement the long sitting time, and still puts employees at risk of chronic diseases (Bonow, Mann, Zipes, & Libby, 2011, p. 27). The intervention's stakeholders' inclusion of all positions at the workspace through a buy-in will lead to a favorable outcome which can be demonstrated through deliverables such as increased employee retention, reduction of sick leaves taken or amplified productivity. The creation of movement-friendly workspaces will hence increase health benefits including reduced risk of cancer, cardiovascular ailments and improved quality of sleep. Hailey Vinson The intervention regarding sexual health through the promotion of discussions and promotion of sex education among the young population in Birmingham is crucial in the elimination of diseases transmitted through sex as well as reducing the spread of other diseasessuch as HIV. Rather than championing abstinence, it is soberer to tackle the real situation through education of sexual consequences (Aral, Fenton, & Lipshutz, 2012, p. 45). People must be more aware of sex and functions of their bodies. The stakeholders are community-based and aim at tackling unprotected sex as a bad behaviour in-need of change. Changing the behaviour and increasing the knowledge in the target population will lead to a change in sexual practices hence minimizing the spread of
