“Disruptive Innovation”
Disruptive innovation refers to the innovation that creates new market and value the network to
increase the capacities in the existing market. This type of innovation helps an organization to
initiate the activities in the business or create the products and services in such a way that they
attain competitive advantage in the target market and displaces the position of the competitors in
the target market. Till date, disruptive innovation has helped many companies to grow and
maintain its competence as well.
Uber and Netflix are the two most important examples in the study of disruptive innovation in an
organization. As both the companies utilized disruptions present in their business process and
converted them into something new with the help of innovation procured by them. Both the
companies are successfully acing the target market because they utilized the disruptive
innovation in the right manner. The fact should be noted that disruptive innovation cannot be
regarded as a factor that provide profitability to all the companies using it, instead it should be
noted that disruptive innovation is an idea that can make the company extremely profitable or
ruin its image in the target market. The purpose of this essay is to enlighten the board about the
attributes of disruptive innovation present in the environment. The essay provides information to
the executives about the ways that they can use positively implement disruption at workplace.

well as external situations that currently exists. Both the strategies have their own set of benefits
and drawbacks in the business. So, the companies aiming to initiate disruptive innovation should
successfully make use of a combined mix of both the strategies to grow in the environment.
Combination of these strategies will help the business to analyse the future activities and resolve
the complexities of current business activity at the same time only.
