1DISSEMINATION PLAN
Dissemination of research findings is critical to empower target audience and help
them make informed choices using the recommendations proposed in research. To engage in
successful dissemination process, it is planned to consider difference in language,
background and expertise of each stakeholders. This will promote adaptation of the research
project to local areas of interest (Schipper et al., 2016). After the diabetes research report is
published and approved by the Ethics Committee, the findings of the research will be
disseminated to target stakeholder groups. The aim is take the findings to stakeholders like
policy makers, clinical managers, health care professionals, diabetes research institutes staffs,
medical colleges and universities and people affected by diabetes. The main rational for
choosing these group is that they are all important stakeholders who are involved or will be
involved in contributing to diabetes related care. Hence, the dissemination plan mainly aims
to disseminate the findings to this group.
Special brochures will be developed to disseminate the findings to medical students
and patients groups affected by diabetes. The advantage of using brochures is that it offers a
concise and visually appealing way to take the findings to broad audiences. In case of
brochures, the information will be simplified and more information will be given by graphs,
pictures and tables. This will ensure that target audience easily grasp the message and key
recommendations from research. In addition, conference will be hosted to make other groups
such as policy makers, researchers and clinical managers aware about research findings.
According to Brownson et al. (2018), conference is a powerful platform to reach public
health agencies and policy making bodies and it is the top method by which local public
health practitioner learns about a new research.
While presenting the findings at conference, effort will be made to ensure that the
conference is time efficient and aligned with the skills of attending members. It is also
