From the above study, it can be concluded that planning activities play a significant role in
the organization. Objective of company cannot be achieved without having a strong planning.
Through making an effective plan, manager of entity always try to make changes in the work

Tesco is the leading retail firm; one of the main objective of entity is to enhance its profit and
expand business across the world. For that, organization always focus on making an effective
plan through which it can improve its operational efficiency and minimize the risk. Planning
activities support the firm in utilization of resources in an efficient manner and aid in
technological development in business unit.
Marketing planning is the tool that supports in identifying real facts about company and
finding issue in firm. By this way, managers can plan to resolve such issue and expansion of
business. Retail firms have to deal with the customers daily. It is very important to provide them
goods and services as per their requirements. Through marketing planning, managers can

While conducting the above study researcher has improved their understanding about

well by making effective planning. Scholar has improved their communication skills. Earlier to

improved coordination skill of the investigator that would be beneficial in conducting researches
in the future. Furthermore, scholar has improved their time management skills. This was such a
long study and time taking tool. But researcher has learnt about how to manage work and
schedule each activity. This has supported the person in completing entire research on time.
Though, researcher has found difficulty in getting approval from the higher authorities for
conducting this research and taking ethical approval from respondents.
Areas for further study
Researcher can conduct research on specific planning activities such as marketing panning
or financial planning and its impact on the business unit in the future. Furthermore, individual
can focus on factors that create difficulty in making planning in business unit. All these areas can
be covered broadly in the future investigations.
Research limitations
While conducting the research, scholar had to face many issues. All these limitations have
created problem for the scholar in completing this research on time.

sector is too narrowed topic and it was difficult for scholar to frame a clear aim and
objectives on this subject (Chauhan and et.al, 2015). Because many things are involved in
planning activities so, it was necessary to have clear ideas about what kind of planning
activities are needed to be discussed. But researcher has worked on it and framed clear
aim and objectives.
Time limitation: This was a very big topic because it includes planning related to
operations, marketing, finance, etc. in the organization. In such limited period of time, it
