Abstract
Education is one of the most important requirement in the life of an individual. It shapes the
personality of the person and also determines the standard of life he or she would be living. It is
through education that people get to earn about important subjects. Furthermore, education also
ensures the extent of communication that a person can engage in. For instance, a person can learn
the different languages of the world which leads to the increase in the communicative power of
the individual. In this respect, it is important to understand that English is one of the most
common language that is spoken and understood by majority of the people around the world. It is
through education and the formation of an effective curriculum that leads to the efficient learning
of English by the foreign language students of the world. The aim of the research is to
understand the effectiveness of curriculum and implementation in the context of the grade 12
students who do not know this language and the impact of this teaching curriculum on the
teaching methods of the teachers. In this regard, it can be observed that the research has
followed a positivism research philosophy, deductive research approach and descriptive research
design. The data has been gathered with the aid of primary data collection process in the form of
interview which has been analyzed with the aid of qualitative data analysis technique. The
research study is significant as it analyzes all these important fields in a great detail.

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.0 Overview
Education is one of the most important requirement in the life of an individual. It shapes
the personality of the person and also determines the standard of life he or she would be living. It
is through education that people get to earn about important subjects (Alsubaie 2016).
Furthermore, education also ensures the extent of communication that a person can engage in.
For instance, a person can learn the different languages of the world which leads to the increase
in the communicative power of the individual (Niehaus and Williams 2016). In this respect, it is
important to understand that English is one of the most common language that is spoken and
understood by majority of the people around the world. It is through education and the formation
of an effective curriculum that leads to the efficient learning of English by the foreign language
students of the world (Alsubaie 2015).
1.1 Problem Statement
Often times it is observed that certain difficulties are faced when a teacher attempts to
teach English to those students to whom English is a foreign language. In this context, it is
important to understand that the formulation of the teaching curriculum and its implementation is
essential for the teaching methods of the teachers.
1.2 Research Aim
The aim of the research is to understand the effectiveness of curriculum and
implementation in the context of the grade 12 students who do not know this language and the
impact of this teaching curriculum on the teaching methods of the teachers.

1.3 Research Objectives
The research objectives are stated as follows –
1. To analyze the characteristics of the curriculum taught to Grade 12 English foreign language
students
2. To examine the impact of this curriculum and its effect on the learning outcomes of the
students.
3. To understand if the implemented tasks which are mentioned in the Bridge to Success
Curriculum Book is in alignment with the required language skills in the class of students.
1.4 Research Questions
The research questions are stated as follows –
1. What are the various characteristics of the curriculum taught to Grade 12 English foreign
language students?
2. What is the impact of this curriculum and its effect on the learning outcomes of the students?
3. Are the implemented learning tasks mentioned in the Bridge to Success Curriculum Book in
alignment with the required language skills in class?
1.5 Research Rationale
The purpose of this research is to understand the effective of teaching curriculum. This
research study under investigation seeks to explain such teaching curriculum in the context of the
grade 12 English foreign language students. In this regard, the research has attempted to analyze
the importance of curriculum and its implementation (Kiani et al. 2019). Curriculum is quite
significant as it gives a proper frame work to the field of teaching. Furthermore, the teachers are
